Did you find out gender at NT scan?
With B, we did. We this LO their legs were crossed.

No but with T we didn't even ask because I have had many friends whose techs made guesses at that point that we're ultimately wrong.

Nope. The tech said guesses at that point aren't reliable enough that she could say anything.
However, nub theory was correct.

The tech wouldn't guess, but I made my own guess from the nub and was right!

No, we had some other health issues going on so it was more important to look at that.

With DS yes, and she was right. With DD no, because we told her we didn't want any guesses. She said she had a guess, but I don't know what it was

Nope! They don't even look and make a guess. I wouldn't want them too either. I would rather wait and know for sure.

@littlek: haha! I would have been devastated if they told me girl and then at the anatomy scan said boy.

We didn't ask; I don't want to start thinking we're having a boy/girl based on their guesses! I rather find out when they're more certain.

Nope, didn't ask though. Scans like that make me so nervous (she isn't smiling. does that mean something's bad? etc etc, I'm crazy) so it just slipped my mind.
I have heard that if baby is in the right position it's VERY obvious (either way!) at the NT scan point. So from my understanding it's more an issue of position at this point. Unless it was spread eagle I don't know how much I'd trust it at 12 weeks though.
I got an elective u/s at 16 and a half weeks, and it was correct.

With M they guessed boy and they were wrong. With this baby we asked them not to even guess. We'll find out at the anatomy scan
The tech said she doesn't like to guess at the nt scans because it's so hard to tell that it really is just a guess.
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
Nope. She looked, but couldn't see anything. Sadie was always cross-legged during ultrasounds. Such a lady. haha
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Yup!! They said they were 95% sure DS was a boy; and they were right!
pomelo / 5220 posts
no, she said she wouldn't guess and we were all wrapped up in the other stuff they were looking for!

For our son, yes - they got it right. However they couldn't tell with our daughter so we had to wait.
Our tech called it the "angle of the dangle" or nub theory - and in order to be able to tell the baby has to be almost completely flat.

No, I didn't even think it was possible to guess at mine. We couldn't see anything!
