I did! Baby TRIED to make an early arrival so I was banned from flying so we had to cancel. I was pretty devestated but knew it was the right thing to do. Oddly enough my mom had to cancel her baby shower too because my brother arrived early. Neither of us got a make up party. In my case everyone still sent presents but I'm very sad to have missed the experience.

DH's coworkers had a shower planned when I was 36 weeks... LO was born at 35w3d. They still had the shower without me, DH went.

I didn't have to cancel it, but I couldn't go! My entire family had my baby shower without me!

I had to can el before it was even officially set since lo was 3 1/2 months early. I did get a shower a couples the after he was born, but it was quite different. Just one of the sad things about having a preemie...

With my older gal, my shower was scheduled for November 1st. Buuut of course, she arrived at 37 weeks, on October 31. So no shower for this mama!

I was lucky - I was put on bedrest 2 days after my shower and was induced one week later at 36 weeks. I'm so glad I made it. It was a beautiful day and I felt great!

Mine wasn't canceled but B was at the baby shower. He actually got released from the NICU a day or two before the shower.

Ours wasn't set in stone yet but I guess in a way it was cancelled. We moved home when I was 38 weeks pregnant and because we had things going on until my due date, we decided to have a party when LO was about a month old. My FIL passed away unexpectedly when LO was 2.5 weeks old so it didn't cross any of our minds until a few months later that it never happened (yes, even mine, I completely forgot until we started planning the next baby shower).
