I think that sounds like a good plan. I ended up being induced, so I worked up until a Friday, took Monday off, and went to the hospital Tuesday night. I worked past my EDD. It gets hard, but it was sad using that week off at the hospital instead of having another week at home with her

No, my son was born a week early, I was sitting on the couch on a Saturday finishing up a couple of work documents when my water broke. So I worked up until my water broke and we went to the hospital, yeah, I'm one of those mommies

Originally I had intended to take 2 weeks before my due date off, but things were not going well at work and they still needed an extra set of hands (and I didn't want to lose time waiting). I told my boss that Friday that I would not be in to work for that final week, but my water broke the next day, so my son made sure I didn't work!

My BFF actually called me from her work and left this voicemail, "Um, what does labor feel like?" Then she was at the hospital!

I worked on my due date and then was off- and my daughter came 12 days late so I was SO bored and dying for her to arrive! It was nice to have a few "just us" days before she arrived, though. This time I'm coming into work through my due date and then working from home until delivery.

I planned to work up to delivery (EDD 8/7). I went to work on 7/28, hadn't felt right the night before so my doctor had me go to L&D for blood work so I left work at 10am (I had just gotten over a kidney infection) and they decided that my liver enzymes were way to high and induced at 1PM- delivered within 24 hours. Definitely not what I was expecting.

I'm planning on taking a week or 2 before my EDD just to relax and get settled into everything. I won't be returning to work after my leave so I won't be missing out on time at home with my LO. If I was going to go back to work I would definitely work until I popped!

I stopped working a month before my EDD but mostly because of my long commute! I spend about 3 hours a day in my car!

EDD is 5/21/12, but work wanted a specific last day. HOWEVER, they can only promise me 4 weeks off--so if baby is overdue, I'm basically going to have to look for a new job.
My commute is killer (at least an hour driving each way, usually more on the way home). I am up and down, walking a lot at work, but also I get to sit frequently. I feel like I can't make it, but if I stop now it means I'm quitting my job...

I actually had to leave work early today from feeling sick--possibly from the baby.

My "last day" is officially 5/15/12. We'll see what happens.

My due date was 1/17 and she wasn't ready to come, so the induction was scheduled for 1/24... my water broke on 1/21 and she was here on 1/22 (Sunday). I worked up to the Friday before she was born so I could have as much time with her after she was born as possible.

I'm planning to work until the bitter end - I get 12 weeks and want as much time with her at home as I can get. Plus, with an EDD of May 21, and daycare not being available until Sept 1, I already have 3 weeks to cover between my maternity leave ending and daycare beginning. I don't want to try to figure out an entire MONTH of daycare.
Luckily, I work 8 minutes from home, so the commute won't be an issue. And I'll probably just carpool with my mom (we work for the same company) starting a week before my due date so I don't need to worry about going into labor at work or while driving. She may want to take my car instead of hers though . . . just in case my water breaks en route

I planned to work until I delivered, but LO had other plans so now I'm on bedrest til 36-37 weeks. If I make it that far, I plan to return to work then and work until I deliver.

That was my plan but DD came 1 week early. So I worked right up until I gave birth.

I stopped work about 6 weeks before my EDD but I had about 8 months leave so I had the luxury of time.
