Do you buy a lot of opposite gender clothes for LO?

A lot of DS's clothes are gender-neutral. He has two tee shirts that were probably intended for girls and one shirt that is gender-neutral but has a good amount of pink on it (the logo of a neighborhood cupcake shop). He also has one bright blue thermal shirt that makes people think he's a girl for some reason.

I've been tempted to buy some girl stuff for DS because he loves pink so much, but it's hard to find not too girly (glitter, bows, etc) stuff that would work. However, he does have a few pink boy clothes.

DD has a few hand me downs from DS, and since I love stripes so much she has a few stripes tops that I think are more boyish or even from the boy section, but I don't care, I think they are cute.

Yes. I shop in the boys section for sweatpants since the girls (Next brand) only offer sets in pastels. I do the same for BabyGap. I also like sporty long-sleeved tees for daycare, they're usually only available in boys (TCP).

I also prefer dark colored caps, shoes and accessories, which is normally available in the boys section.

@lamariniere: What size does your L wear? I'll keep an eye out.

@SugarplumsMom: In tops, 6-8T depending on the brand. We do boy pants since he's a hulk.

Sometimes, just because I feel there is zero reason a toddler girl needs to wear short shorts, and I get tired of all the pink and sparkly stuff.

Yep, some! Mostly gender neutral-- like I just got a gray and white sleeper from the boys section. People mistake her for a boy all the time, even when she's in girl clothes (like, a teal romper w hearts and ruffled sleeves-- what??) but. I don't care.

Nope. D would never wear girl stuff, and he and DH would give me an earful if I tried any on M.

In the early days, I did put my son in a polar bear sleeper with purple trim. It was what I had on hand and was clean, so why not?

Now, though, I shop the boys section for him. I don't know what I could buy in the girls section for him, honestly.

I bought my first girl some boy things because I didn't want to have to start all over shopping if I had a boy next. But I had another girl. I'm glad I have those clothes though, love pink but sometimes I need a break from it.

I like clothes that are girly (for a girl) but I do have some clothes that are neutral or maybe more boyish, but definitely still works for a girl. I'm not against shopping in the boys section.

Yup his pants are mostly girls, they fit better and kook nicer. Some shirts too that look gender neutral.... Its not a big deal to me

Not, but I have a TON of DS's stuff set aside as GN for the next one. I feel like there is lots of boy stuff that can be used for both, but not a ton of girl stuff that goes the other way.

@Pepper: I saw that this morning and my eyes rolled so hard I think they are stuck in the back of my head.

And yes, I do have several 'boys' shirts for G. They don't sell astronaut or dinosaur shirts in the girls section, and you bet your a** I want her in an astronaut shirt.

@Pepper: Haha, I saw that! I thought they were perfect!

I actually have bought several boy shirts for L. They're all 2T+ sizes though. One is a denim-ish button up shirt that's kind of seafoam green with a hood. It is ADORABLE and I can 'girl it up' for L. I also got her some colored boy jeans (purple I think?) because they were cute and can totally work for a girl as well

No, I have a boy and we haven't bought him anything girly. The closest we have is gender neutral stuff with duckies and things. But I feel like boy stuff works better for both genders, but girls stuff only works for girls. But maybe I'll feel differently if we have a girl next
