@jodyblair: @dominobee: I lucked out when I was pregnant with my son - my first appt was right before Mother's Day, so I sent my mom a Happy Grandmother's Day card with a picture from the ultrasound inside! Haha. She was like, why does this say Grandma? Thankfully, she got it once she opened the card and saw the ultrasound

After being on the infertility board, I feel a little comfortable to jump over to the due date board.
Location:Chicago, IL
EDD: 2/10/18
First child? BB #2.
Any symptoms? Exhausted, sore boobs, and extremely Hangry
Who have you told? DH and a friend (she's been following our journey of 6 months cycling IVF)
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? Cautiously optimistic. Just want to get over the first trimester hurdle.

@Honeydew: YAY! Congratulations!
I've been hangry too
How old is your older little one?

@Theotherstark: My son is 3.5 and is a super busy little guy. Poor thing, he wants me to run around with him and I can barely keep my eyes open.

@Honeydew: aww, ha yes, definitely no rest when you have another little one running around! I feel your pain.

Yesterday I was telling DH about embryonic growth and the different foods used to estimate the size. Today I came home to find this.

@dominobee: awww, that is so cute!! Ha. Love it. My husband always asks how big is the baby. Too cute. Have you been using the Ovia app? I love looking at each size theme.
Btw, I meant to mention that I love the Pregnology site, because it has great visuals of what the baby looks like each week!

@theotherstark: yes I'm using Ovia and I really like it! I'm using the weird-but-cute animals setting, though I peek at them all.

got my 4th beta back today, went from 117 to 1007 in 4 days so I am finally starting to feel like this could be happening! Fingers crossed!
Location: Phoenix, AZ
EDD: 2/20/18
# child: #2.
Any symptoms? Exhausted. Taking 300mg progesterone and it zonks me out. I have been taking a 2 hr nap or going to bed 2 hrs early every day.... Thankfully I am on summer break, but I feel bad for DH who has to chase around our young toddler!
Who have you told? 4 close mom friends that I regularly pray with, my college roomie who I stay in close contact with, and my parents on Father's Day since they were here for their annual cross country trip.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? So so thankful and generally hopeful but trying to stay grounded because losses happen. If baby is doing well, we will be out of the 1st trimester right in time for school to start and my 29th bday!
I'm calling my OB tomorrow to set up my appt. When we talked in Feb, she said she'd do a 7 week ultrasound, so I hope that's what we can get scheduled!

@DesertDreams88: yay, congratulations! Glad to see you here. Good news on the betas!!

I know this will sound silly but I just remembered I can't ride roller coasters this summer

@DesertDreams88: So happy to see this update!
P.s. Sorry to be lurking all over your board ladies - I'm a little obsessed with you

@dominobee: I just realized this the other day, and we have season passes to an amusement park
pear / 1553 posts
@LadyDi: Kennywood? I was just thinking about how I want to plan a trip and then I was like ohhh....
persimmon / 1381 posts
@dominobee: Yup! I bought season passes on black friday (a really good deal, if you're ever interested)...I'll be spending a lot of time in kiddie land anyway so we'll still get use out of them, but I am a little bummed.
pear / 1553 posts
@LadyDi: Thanks for the tip! This is my fourth summer living in Pittsburgh and I've never been, which is sort of embarrassing to admit! I'll probably still go this summer anyway.
pear / 1553 posts
@LadyDi: Btw where in PGH do you live? We're in the city, in Stanton Heights.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@dominobee: bummer! I hadn't thought about that too much, although I did sit out on the tea cup rides at my husband's work carnival last week. Although that was mainly due to nausea
pear / 1553 posts
@theotherstark: I don't care for spinny rides, the only ones I like are roller coasters. I wonder if bumper cars are okay? Or if I just have to stick with the games and delicious, unhealthy foods at the amusement park.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@dominobee: ha, I don't either - my son wanted to go on them, so I made my husband go with him we actually don't go to amusement parks very often, so thankfully I don't have to worry about it too much. Although now I'm wondering about some of the kiddie rides at children's places we go to... hm.
I would definitely skip the bumper cars, personally, but I'm sure your dr. can give you some feedback!

@dominobee: and now you're making me want delicious, unhealthy amusement park food

So excited to see this board growing!!! Ladies can we talk bump for a second? With my first pregnancy I had a flat stomach until about 20 weeks. Now I'm only at 6+4 and i swear I have a bump already. It looks like the super bloat I get on the first day of my period but it's definitely noticeable (to me). Any other repeat mommies already noticing a bump?
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Meowkers: pregnancy #4 here (baby #3 hopefully) and I'm definitely noticing my belly getting bigger. I'm 7w4d and it's still not noticeable to others but it's noticeable to me! The evenings are worse since I'm more bloated and have been eating all day.
pear / 1553 posts
@Meowkers: Heh I'm already a chubby girl so honestly I don't think I'll notice much of a bump for a while. And then other folks in my life will probably just think I'm going through a fat phase for a while. I tend to yo-yo up and down within a 20lb range.
pear / 1553 posts
@Meowkers: However what is interesting is that I'd been losing weight over the last couple of months and that has now stopped. I'm not eating more and I'm eating more healthy food too, and not drinking obviously, so I think it's interesting that I'm hovering at about 3 pounds more than I weighed 2 weeks ago. What's that about? Water retention? Or is my body just more eager to hold on to every calorie I put in it? I was hoping to lose weight at first from cutting out my evening beer, since I'm not replacing those calories with bigger portions.
persimmon / 1364 posts
@dominobee: probably water retention and more blood volume. I have no appetite so I though I would lose a few pounds but I haven't (still at my normal weight). Last time around I lost a few pounds due to extreme morning sickness. Waiting for that to kick in.
pear / 1553 posts
@Meowkers: Ugh I am REALLY not looking forward to morning sickness. I get subtle waves of nausea here and there but nothing major so far (only 5w1d right now). I have a big trip planned with friends next weekend and I'm worried I might have to skip it. Also an important job interview (at my same employer) on July 6th so I'm hoping I can hold it together for that!
pear / 1553 posts
@Meowkers: I do find that I get full way more quickly and then I'm hungry again an hour or two later. Lots of small meals is typical pregnancy best practice and now I totally get why!
