I was just going to start a post about this! My sex drive is extremely high - and has been throughout pregnancy. I feel extra attractive which is weird because my body is probably the least attractive and heavy as it has ever been in my lifetime, but I don't care. I also feel extremely physically and emotionally attracted to my husband.

But, we haven't specifically had a lot of intercourse. We were nervous to do it at first while the pregnancy was so new, and now my belly hurts if someone is laying on top of it (our usual go-to position). But we've been doing lots of other activities and enjoying some positions we've left in the dust years ago. And I keep having tons and tons of sexual related dreams, followed by waking up and doing the deed.

I hope this feeling sticks around for as long as possible. I feel like a teenager.

@mrs. wagon: One of the things I read really early on is that the baby gets to enjoy the chemicals released during sex. That might gross people out, but for me it really helps me get over thinking that I'm somehow hurting the baby or damaging it in some way.

@highwire: I'm the same way! My drive has been really high. My body just won't keep up though since I'm having such issues with my back and my pelvis. I can't do our go-to position anymore (on my back) because I get short of breath! We're usually on our sides or some variation of position that doesn't have me flat on my back and him leaning on me!
I also heard that the gentle contractions that result from orgasm are like a hug for your baby lol... it made me feel better about doing the deed as well while pregnant! Oddly enough my boys stop moving when we're "together" and just restart their movements when we're done!

@mrs. wagon: Aw, I hope my fav position doesn't get compromised by delivery! The from-the-behind position is so much easier on my body while pregnant! I'm going to try being propped up against pillows while on my back... I don't know if it'll help me at this point though!

Well we were just given the okay 2 weeks ago that we could have sex again for awhile there we were at it like teenagers. However, I started to notice that DH is a little freaked out by my growing belly during sex, he says he doesn't want to hurt the baby (or have the baby kick him in the middle of doing the deed.). I explained to him he's not going to hurt her, but it has put a little damper on our sex drive! haha

Probably once a week. My sex drive spiked up really high right after our BFP, but we waited until after our first U/S to have sex (we'd had sex the night before my miscarriage started before, and DH was really paranoid).

It's definitely settled down a lot the past month or two...I'm more attracted to my husband, but I'm much less interested in the sex. I do have sex dreams on a fairly regular basis, though...and we're talking no hands full completion dreams

1-2 times a week since the end of the first tri. My drive doesn’t seem to have changed at all with pregnancy and now I’m just more tired which doesn’t help to motivate  We were too scared at the beginning with our history of MCs in the past. I think DH is starting to get kind of weirded out by the growing belly/thinking about the baby while we’re doing it now though. He told me the other day that he thinks it’ll be really odd when he can feel the baby kicking during sex, he even had a dream about it!

@hellobeeboston: Mine was like that too in the beginning, probably because I was so tired from gettnig sick all day! When it finally came back, we were restricted from getting busy!

We did it nearly EVERY SINGLE DAY after my nausea went away. All the way up until I delivered!

I voted *0* because after a pre-term contraction scare at 22 weeks, DH put me on pelvic rest! He was so worried about the trip to L&D (although my contractions/ spotting had nothing to do with us having sex) that now that he knows sex can cause spotting (thanks Doc *lesigh*), he not interested in being the cause of any additional trips to the hospital.

My sex drive went from 100 to -1 when I got pregnant. Poor husband. We had some last week and I think he was absolutely floored that I instigated. Poor thing was so lacking, he forgot we actually COULD have sex. Haha.

First trimester, I spent 100% of my time and energy on barfing or trying to not barf. I don't remember sex, but it's possible DH slipped it in while I was busy focusing on not-barfing.
Second trimester? Hoo boy. I think I probably now have a pretty good understanding of what it's like to be a 15-year-old boy. One stiff wind, and I was ready to go. Heck, even the memory of the stiff wind 30 minutes later had me ready to go. I could seriously have done it like 8 times a day at that point. I think DH was terrified. And exhausted. And probably relieved when I went back to being nauseous, with only intermittent sex breaks.

We never bone anymore Hubs knows that he's not going to hurt the baby or anything, but it just weirds him out that there's a baby in there and he doesn't feel comfortable getting busy. LOL. WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

every time we do, it's so uncomfortable for me! Only thing that works is me propped on a million pillows on my back..and I don't even get any enjoyment out of it. Haha. I have to finish off later on, or have him finish me later. Such a pain!

DH and I did it til the end with #1 and I was 2 days late!

We had sex probably 3-4 times a week during the first trimester and then almost every day during the second trimester but once the third hit...nothing. It started hurting me (painful Braxton Hicks) so we just stopped kind of. It's been a month since we've gotten busy so we'll probably try soon since I'm due in a little over a week lol.

1st trimester, it was high, 2nd, mild 3rd- nonexistant. I was too big to move and he wanted me to do stuff before I had a buge weight in front of me. Not gonna happen.LOL
