I've had 6 and DH hasn't been to any because of work. There are only 3 that I wanted him to be at...first OB, Genetic Counseling and first perinatologist appointment. The rest were just short nurse or dietitian checkups that didn't last very long. He is going today because my perinatologist is doing an ultrasound.

I've had 3 check-ups and 1 appointment at the hospital. He was there for the dating scan/first appt and the NT scan at the hospital. He'll be coming to the next appt which is our anatomy scan. I told him not to come to the monthly check-ups.
He came to almost all of my appts with DS! :O

He's been to my initial consult (u/s), my 20 week (u/s) and he'll go to my 24 next week because of the u/s and my 28 because of my glucose test. Not sure what he'll go to after that.

I've had one appointment so far, an ultrasound with my RE. He came to that. My next appointment is the same thing and he'll be there as well. Once I'm released to an OB I'll have him come to the first appoitment so he can meet me doctor and to any appointments with ultrasounds.

DH went to my first ultrasound with the RE and he'll go next week when we hear the heart beats. He has the flexibility to go to my appts so I think he'll go to most of them.

With C he came to ultrasounds but that's it. -

With DD1 he went to almost all of them.
With DD2, he's only been to a couple, it's been harder for him to get away for work. However, I was mortified at my last appointment when my doctor asked if he was planning on making it to the delivery, I think she thinks we are having marital problems since he was so involved with number 1 and not this round! I told him he has to come to the rest of my appointments (which is only like 3-4) to prove we are okay
HAHA I know the doctor didn't mean it in a bad way, but I was like oh no, he has a 30 minute commute so it's harder for him to get away frequently...haha I felt like I was making excuses!

DH has only missed 3 so far because of work, and I've had over a dozen now at 34w. He hasn't missed any of the ultrasounds, however. He's also been really engaged even when he's not there, and calls me to ask what the doc said right afterwards.

With DS he came to the dating u/s and anatomy u/s, plus my first midwife spot.
This time he has come to the same 2 ultrasounds but no midwife appts. They're the same group I had last time and honestly it doesn't make a difference if he's there or not!!

Dh comes to all of my appointments (he missed one due to traffic with DS and was really upset.) I think it's overkill at this point, but it's also sweet that he cares so much.

He's been to all my appointments so far with this pregnancy. It's also our first so he really wants to be involved. I told him he doesn't have to come to my monthly, now going into weekly checkups, but he still does. It's sweet.

All except one, because we had to reschedule it due to an out-of-state family funeral. That was just one of the 15-minute belly check/blood pressure/heartbeat deals so I didn't mind him missing it. All of our regular prenatal appointments normally, though, are done as a 2-hour group class thing where we get to discuss pregnancy and childbirth issues with other couples and the midwives, so he has definitely attended all of those.

Um....two. Both viability scans in the first trimester. He's had to miss so many scans because he or E was sick and needed to stay home...and the rest of them are just "how do you feel? any questions? ok thanksbai"

I've had 2 prenatal appointments and a dating scan and DH has been to everything. Pretty sure he is planning on attending all even thought I keep reminding how boring they often are. But this is our first baby and he works from home and so has a very flexible schedule. He wants to be there for everything!

He went to the initial visit (though it was supposed to be pre-conception; he jumped the gun a bit. Not sure if he would have gone otherwise), the dating ultrasound, the appointment where we were supposed to hear the heartbeat (and he was pissed he wasted the time off when they decided it was too early), and the appointment where we actually heard the heartbeat. So he's only missed one, but probably would have skipped two others if things had been handled differently.

So far, he's come to the 8 week ultrasound and the 12 week NT scan. It's a little harder for him to get away from work, so he's only coming to the more important ones.

He went to almost all with DD1, but has only been to a handful this time, mostly the u/s appointments. There is no real point in him coming to most since I don't have any new questions (we *just* did this).

With baby #1, he was off work
With pregnancy 2 and 3, the appointments he didn't come to, I found out about the loss. He didn't want to ever put me through that alone again.
With baby #2 he came to them all!

With DS1 he went to every one of them.
With DD he went to a few.
And with this pregnancy- he's been to the 20 week anatomy scan, and I'm 34 weeks today. I'm perfectly okay with him not being there though, as I am completely comfortable with my doctor- and am good at relaying information to my DH. -

I feel like such an outsider here. With both pregnancies my husband came to the first visit and the 20 week ultrasound and no other appointments. My OB is close to my office (rather than near our home), since I like being able to go to appointments on my lunch break (especially during the first months before the announcements). With the second pregnancy, the nurse kept asking me every single appointment if I was alone, but I think she was more hoping to see my daughter rather than my husband!

He came to the first appointment (ultrasound), the NT scan, and he'll be going to the anatomy scan in a couple weeks. I just had a routine appointment today and he didn't come. It was a very short appointment and nothing exciting happened (except the early glucose test which isn't very exciting anyway).
Last time, I had lots of ultrasounds because of GD and he came to most of them, but if he didn't, my mom/sister came with me. I'm nervous at ultrasounds because that's how we found out we lost the first pregnancy, so I hate going to those alone.

He hasn't been to any of my appointments this pregnancy. He had to take care of LO for my first appointment and couldn't get away for the 20 week ultrasound. During my last pregnancy, he attended two appointments total and didn't do any others because it's the routine 15 minute quick check up, so boring for the DH.

With both DD and this pregnancy he's been to the first appt and then just to the appointments that involve an ultrasound. He works an hour away, doesn't make sense for him to miss work for a 5 minute prenatal check in.

Mine went to our first one and I think 1-2 which were scheduled in days that he happened to be working from home. He also came to our NT and anatomy scan. We do traditional visits and I'm a doctor (who does maternity care myself) so my appointments are pretty quick and we don't have many questions to ask. With that said, we did birthing/newborn/breast feeding classes and he went to all of those.

Nope. He's only been there for my one ER visit at 10 weeks that we did get an ultrasound. He took a weeks vacation (booked before we knew we were pregnant) and so we are trying to let him keep his sick days in case, ya know, he's sick and keep all his vacation time for after she is born. He only came to two visits last pregnancy

For DD he went to the anatomy scan because I asked.
For DS he didn't go to any of them.Apparently he is a slackers!
ETA- we did take an (8 or 12 week) Bradley course together.

mine was at pretty much all of them for LO#1 - I think maybe he missed one or two? With this LO he's been to all the ultrasounds and appointments when I was having early bleeding, and a couple of the HG specialist appointments, but hasn't come to all the regular family doctor or OB visits. I always want him to come to any one where there's a possibility of bad/scary news, but the regular ones are so short and run so far behind that I hate wasting hours of both our time!

He's been to three so far - the first heartbeat u/a at the RE, NT and anatomy scan. I ask my OB whether he needs to be at the next appointment. No point in him taking off work just for me to be weighed and talked to.

@T.H.O.U.: That's why DH goes to so many of mine. We haven't actually found out about any losses at appointments, but with our history I need him there just in case. And I can't even remotely handle ultrasounds alone. They scare me too much now.

Since this is my 3rd and technically 4th since I did have a miscarriage he doesnt come to the regular ones. He never came to all of them but he tries to make the bigger ones. I wanted him at the NT scan for this one but he couldnt because of work. It was worse because both my other kids had to come too and I wanted his help but alas such is life. He will be there for the anatomy I think

I'm sort of bummed about it, but he's used all his sick leave/vacation leave due to a health crisis last year, so there's nothing I can do about it. I scheduled the anatomy scan for 8am hoping he could just go into work a little late (and stay late to make up the hrs), but he ended up with an early morning meeting he couldn't miss. With my first pregnancy (loss), he came to the first ultrasound. With my second (J), he came to the 8w ultrasound, NT scan and anatomy scan.

With LO #1 he came to everything but the glucose screening since they had you wait for an hour there for the blood draw. His schedule was much more flexible then.
With the baby we lost, he came to the first appt where we saw baby and h/b, but not the second one where I found out the baby stopped growing, so that ducked.
This time, he couldn't come to the 1st appt but came to the second. I am having my anatomy scan at 22 weeks this time as it was the only way for him to be there. I think maybe I will have him come to one more near the end if he can but that is it.

He's been to most of them so far (I'm 23 weeks currently). Neither of us really see a point in him being there when they're doing nothing more than a quick check though.
