I'm so excited that I'll get to have a fun costume that incorporates my big belly this year LO is a big sesame street fan. She loves Abby and Elmo the most, so she and DH will be Abby and Elmo. I'm going to be cookie monster.

ahhh love the cookie monster idea!! I was thinking about this the other day, how we're going to be so big for halloween! I don't have a LO yet, so it's not like i'm going to go trick or treating, but my dance class does a halloween class and I totally want to wear a costume that plays off of my big belly (assuming i'm feeling well enough to go to dance classes at that point!)

That sounds sooo cute! I haven't thought about it at all... oh my goodness... so many options! How will I decide?!

Last year when I was 6 months pregnant I made one of those skeleton tshirts with a baby skeleton in the tummy, and I glued a bow on to show it was a girl. It turned out pretty cute

Cute! Lainey looks like Boo, so my aunt is going to make her a Boo costume (when she's dressed up like a monster) and my brother and sister are going to be Mike and Sully!

charlie has said he's wanted to be a pumpkin since last halloween and he wants olive to be a witch, me to be a mummy, and mr. bee to be a bat/vampire. characters from one of his favorite books.
we'll see if that's what he still wants to be come halloween. he might end up wanting to be the hulk, then maybe olive will be elmo since we already have the costume and she loves elmo.

That is so cute!
DH wants to do this, but I think we should maybe wait another year or two. If we wait then I have no idea!

Ahhh, I've been trying to think of something cute for the boys to be that goes together. When they're older, if they still have red hair, I totally want them to be the Weasley twins!

My SO wants to dress DS2 like William Wallace in Braveheart. LOL. I think we might do it. No idea about DS1 since he's old enough to pick his own costume.

@FutureMrsMcK: omg how hard would it be to make those costumes (minus Max, of course)?!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
@HabesBabe: NO idea! Paper mache? Probably need more than 3 months to make them, though! I'm sure I could find them on the internet somewhere, if I was willing to pay through the nose!

I have been! Not so much for me but our little guy will be almost 3 months and I can't WAIT to dress him up. I see a very little ewok in my future.
As for me & DH? I have no ideas....

@.twist.: Leia and Han? Jedis? I would totally run with the Star Wars theme!
@HabesBabe: Lol, maybe I should start now and we can do it in a year or two! Or maybe just convince my SIL to do it. She'd be all about trying to make it! She's pretty well-known for her girls' Halloween costumes!

You could do something like this instead (makeup and clothes vs. the head). If LO is Max, I think it'll be obvious who you and the hubs are!

@FutureMrsMcK: That would be super awesome! My only hesitation is that I don't like to do half assed costumes and I'm worried I just won't have enough time to do an epic Leia! Although, maybe her outfit on Endor wouldn't be that hard to recreate...

Ohhhhhh great post! Hadn't thought about it, but I will have a big belly! I'm thinking a magic eight ball would be cute!

Wreck it Ralph (DH), Fix-It Felix (me), and Vanellope von Schweetz (DD). Little lady isn't even here yet, but we've got that shiz nailed.

@FutureMrsMcK: that wild things costume is AMAZING. My cousin just knitted my guy a red bow tie and is working on a fez for him, so....11th Doctor from Doctor Who it is!! I wonder where I can get 1 year old size suspenders?
I think I'll be Amy from Doctor Who because I love her and wearing short skirts & tights. I wonder if I could convince my husband to be Rory. Man, we'll be pretty dated

DH & I are going to be bank robbers & LO will be a bag of money
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
@mewtill: Ah! Love love love this idea! Btw you can buy baby suspenders on Amazon (and Etsy, I'm sure, but I got E a pair of red ones from Amazon for like $10 a few months ago).

@FutureMrsMcK: Yes! I can't wait to tell my cousin - she should be the TARDIS!

Yesterday LO picked out a zebra mask at the dentist office as her treat and it fits her perfectly. I am tempted to dress her in black and white and call it a day.
@LuLu Mom: I may have to 'steal' that idea while LO is still small enough to carry. Awesome.

@808love: That was my thought, she will be just over a year old so her walking will be pretty iffy! And we have a local costume contest that is pretty competitive, and I think this might win

Any ideas for a good prego costume? DH asked me if there was any iconic photos of a celebrity couple where someone was pregnant. I drew a blank. The best we could think of is Juno/Paulie Bleeker but I feel like that is just tooooo old.

The best is Halloween 24 (http://www.halloween24.com). There are so many kids costumes there. They are at really good prices too. Perfect for parties, not just halloween!!
