Ugh, I'm under the weather guys
I'm almost 18 weeks pregnant and feeling rotten. Achey, tired, stuffy, headache. Can't "rest" because I have a toddler and a full time job. What can I do to get better?

Um, nothing. Go to bed as soon as your toddler does and pray you both sleep through the night.
Feel better!

Oh wait, I thought of something if you can do it. Bring your kid to daycare (or wherever), call in sick, go home and sleep! But that's only if you have sick time or something so you can stay home.

@Adira: Can't call out sick this week unfortunately. My boss is already out this week and there are only two of us left. And if I did call out tomorrow, my mom is our Tuesday childcare so her and LO will be at my place anyways = no rest.

@cmomma17: Ugh, that sucks. If calling out sick isn't an option, then the only thing I can think of is just going to bed as early as possible! Maybe you can get your husband to take over evening duties so you can rest?? Assuming he's around to do it.

Drink lots of fluid sand take it easy at work. if you can't truly REST, then at least don't exert yourself and hydrate yourself as much as you can and eat nutritious foods.

@Adira: He works evenings Thank you for trying to help
I think I might give myself permission to skip LO's bath tonight, just thinking about it makes me exhausted ...

@cmomma17: Totally skip the bath. Throw a grilled cheese sandwich at your kid, lay down, turn on Mickey mouse, and call it a night.

@blackbird: I will try to push water a little more. I'm doing the bare minimum at work today. Feeling sick affects my brainpower unfortunately.
I've been eating whole foods all day too and hoping that helps (mandarin oranges right now for some Vit. C). Thanks!

@blackbird: haha, sweet plan! Luckily I made tonight's dinner yesterday so I just have to nuke it.

@cmomma17: Definitely skip the bath! Xander only gets one 2-3 times a week because of his eczema, so I can promise you skipping one day won't hurt!

@looch: you know, I've never tried one, but it might be worth a shot, thanks!

@looch: @cmomma17: I second that. The neti pot helps me SO much!
A good soak in the bathtub (with some epsom salts, or lavender oil, or whatever you have on hand) with some light reading, and then hopping in bed early always makes me feel better.

I've been drinking tons of fluids and just trying to rest (which is impossible) but I feel your pain! Been stuffy and achy on and off for three weeks now at 24 weeks. I hope you feel better soon!

@cmomma17: I'm sorry mama! I was there two weeks ago--had an 8 week sinus infection. What helped me tremendously was drinking tons of water and using a Neti Pot.
I have allergies too and use NasalCrom which is supposed to be super safe and helped with the nasal allergies!
Good luck
