I was going to announce to my team at work when we had our weekly status meeting, but the meeting got canceled, so now I'm thinking I'll send out an e-mail. I was going to say this:

"Assuming we don’t get another Software Engineer on this project to help with the work, the software schedule will need to be extended by 12 weeks to accommodate Xander’s new title:
