We are getting ready to finish ours. The bathroom is done (previous owners ripped everything out to redo but then moved) but we are going to expand it, so still moving plumbing. We got quotes $30K-$80K. My Uncle is in construction and said ours shouldn't be more then $35K. I think it will be end up being $40K. We already had HVAC installed and paid for that. In the south.

@Paddington10: Does that include waterproofing? Our basement remodel (including bathroom) was $35,000, but an additional $10,000 was for waterproofing. HVAC replacing would have been an additional $9,000 (one story home + basement so didn't need two units).

Ugh our basement is considered partially finished so I'm hoping a full finish would not be that much but these quotes scare me! We just bought the house last year so we're trying not to do anything big for a few years but my son's toys keep growing!

@LBee: Ha! Our house is one story but we went with two units. So that is why we spent $5K already. But we won't use the basement daily, unless DH is working from home, so we wanted a separate unit we can turn off.
