I felt your pain. I had it with my oldest and pretty sure the only reason I passed the 3-hour with my youngest is because I walked laps around the hospital in between each hour!
Feeling crappy, or not being able to eat what you want?

@Ajsmommy: Blah...I'm really sorry. It plain old sucks. 9 more weeks...

Oh, boo. I was hoping you'd be fine without since your other numbers are okay.

@josina: nope, got the email back to start meds at night.. blah.... this is really making this pregnancy not so fun for me. I know it's not terrible and that it could be worse but the constant monitoring of food and time and pricking my finger is really NOT FUN. (I know I sound like a big baby, but I just feel sad about it and it keeps getting worse..... )

I had it with both of my pregnancies so I completely sympathise. You've done amazing to keep off meds up until 31 weeks. Not long to go now (I know it's easier to say 9 weeks isn't long when you're not the one dealing with it).

Ugh sorry it's been such a pain to control. I feel like you can whine all you need - it's frustrating and makes the end of pregnancy extra difficult. And it's hard already with a kid to take care of. Don't feel guilty about venting - it's allowed!

@MrsA: thx
@2PeasinaPod: yup.... I bet it'll be more like 7-8 more weeks. I was induced with DD at 38 wks and didn't have GD
@josina: I know.. the fasting # is the "MOST IMPORTANT" one and the most hard to control apparently. Its def frustrating that ALL my other numbers are "good" though... but like I've said I am just really frustrated about the whole darn thing. And I'm really not a fan of the scare tactics they enlist...
@youboots: were you on glyburide? That is what they have prescribed for me. Did you have any after affects? and how was baby after birth?
@Cherrybee: same ?'s as above.. did you have any after affects from being on the meds and not being able to control the GD? and was baby affected at all?
@gilmoregirl: Thanks.. I feel like a big whiner!!! and to top it all off, my friend who is due two days prior to me had an ultrasound yesterday and her baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead but they never once mentioned any of the "terrible" things that can happen to her since her baby is big.. but for me they list off all the bad things when my baby isn't even measuring BIG yet!!! you can bet your bottom dollar that at my next ultrasound if baby is measuring big they'll mention those things again to me.. but to her NOPE all bc she doesn't have gd!

@Ajsmommy: I don't remember what I was on. I stopped taking the pills at birth. I tested all clear after 6 months. T was just fine- I can't even remember what the risks are for GD babes. I had an emergency induction at 39 weeks for pre e and a scheduled one 4 days later for gd. The worst part was a 44 hour induction. I was monitored 2x a week.

@Ajsmommy: if it helps, they give me the rundown of big baby risks all the time. It's not helpful. He's measuring big, his brother measured big, nothing really came of it but they sure do love to talk about the risks. It's stressful.

@Ajsmommy: ah sorry that you do have to go on meds! Missed that update earlier... really hope they help though and that makes your fasting numbers be within the normal range.
