@bhbee: sorry it was painful, but happy TWW!
@Happygal: thanks for asking, my ultrasound was fine, no cysts or anything out of the ordinary. I wasn't sure what they might find, since my body geared up to O twice last cycle, but never did.
@mrswin: They're combining Femara and Gonal-f because in the past I have responded to Clomid, but since I already did 5 cycles on it, they wanted me to try Femara instead, combined with the Gonal-f, since if Clomid wasn't doing it, Femara alone wouldn't either. I'm doing Femara CD3-7, then Gonal-f CD7-9, and the rest TBD based on how my CD10 ultrasound goes, either a few more days of gonal-f, possibly adding in Ganirelix, and another ultrasound, or they might have me trigger. I think it's a bit more of a reserved approach than going straight to Gonal-f on CD3 like some REs do, since I wasn't with my RE for my Clomid cycles (and they were mostly unmonitored except 21 day progesterone). She doesn't want me to hyper ovulate by ramping up to fast with the Gonal-f.

@mrswin: my RE doesn't seem to schedule initial betas--I guess they start (at least with IUIs) if you get a BFP at home. I'll test 14 dpo, and I'm 11 now. The TWW was killer right in the beginning b/c I kept going over my timing/stats--when did I trigger, how much longer after that was my IUI, when did I likely ovulate. . . I finally let it all go b/c there's nothing else that can be done!
@sprite: that's interesting--I haven't come across combining both oral and injectable medicine yet. For my first cycle injectables cycle, they were pretty conservative and the checks were much more frequent for the reasons you listed. Last cycle they were ramped up the dosage, but it still seems like I only ovulated once.

@Happygal: I meant to reply to your wall post about the timing thing... I think if anything you helped your chances by ovulating later than your IUI! They say that sperm do better when they're ready to go, waiting in the tubes for the egg(s), rather than the other way around. (hence Mrs. Someone's spiffy timing chart that shows O-2 is the optimal time to BD)

@Shutterbug: thank you! That is reassuring. I do trust my doctor, so I decided I shouldn't start doubting her now.
@MrsTal: that is good! If you have a chance, you can write about your HSG experience here: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/share-your-hsg-experience
@bluestriped bee: yes to crossed fingers that this is your last IUI! Will you be taking Femara again?

I am sorry it was more painful this time.... that is my fear...I have had the same nurse do it both times and she makes me feel so comfortable and I feel nothing, I am afraid of getting someone else!!!!!
Thoughts and prayers your way!!!!!
