@Happygal: thank you for starting!
spring in Boston is really beautiful. weather can be iffy but we have beautiful trees, they put gorgeous tulips into the public garden in all colors, the swans go back in the pond, etc. sunny and 50s here today and I am in heaven.
update: AF finally arrived on 18dpiui and was super light, really only 1 day and then tapered quickly. which makes me think I probably didn't even have the right environment to have a chance last month. good riddance, clomid! happy for my cycle(s) off meds and hope I can build the lining back up in a couple months. talking to the RE on 4/16 to get his opinion on what he would advise if we lose most or all of our IF coverage with new insurance (with current insurance he would have said IVF, but then it was covered). really thinking femara is my next step, at a new clinic.
three positives:
1) no clomid = no hot flashes, depression and headaches!
2) hoping no meds gives me a better chance to lose 5 lbs this month and get to a (somewhat) better weight before we seriously TTC again
3) our new house appraised so I think now everything is in line to close 4/29!

@Happygal: Thank you for starting this week!
@bhbee: Glad clomid is going out the window, I think femera sounds like it will be a better fit for you.
Spring in my town means good weather to go to the zoo, which we have a membership to, as well as just walking and getting outside again.
Updates, it's looking more and more like we might have male factor infertility. I feel really mixed emotions about this, on one hand it's nice to know something is wrong but on the other it's devestating to think we might not be able to concieve without IVF.
Three positives:
1. Vacation starts tomorrow at 4. We fly out at 6:30!!!!
2. Med-free month, no doctor's appointments, no hormones, hooray!
3. We hired someone to help me out in my job. I'm so grateful to be having some help again.
pomelo / 5000 posts
@bhbee: I've never been to Boston but would love to visit. Sounds like spring is a good time to go! I only took Clomid once, but really preferred femara. I just felt better on it.
@mrstal: has there been additional testing for your husband? I am so happy you get to spend time on a vacation soon! Enjoy it and have lots of fun.
Spring in my town is awesome. So many things blooming and turning green. There's lots of fun stuff going on outside now, like farmer's markets and weekly free concerts on Fridays. I love my town!
My update: hanging out in the TWW. Don't really expect to get pregnant, but I did look up what my due date would be, and it would be one day after my birthday. I always thought a holiday baby would be so sweet. I couldn't help it--I got hopeful. But most like I'll being calling up good 'ole Mandell's Pharmacy and ordering a s*@%t ton of drugs to inject into my body soon!

@Happygal: He's getting his SA redone in a few weeks but since our old RE didn't test morphology last year I highly suspect that's the issue. Most of the information I've found says morphology doesn't change much (unlike count and volume). It may turn out to be ok but I think I need to prepare mentally for this to be the issue. Easier to be prepared for the worst, ya know?

Hello again! I'd like to try to get more involved in this board. Currently we're waiting one more month for the Clomid to work on DH's sperm count. He has a repeat SA on May 5. If we can get enough frozen spe, we can do an IVF cycle in May.
AF started today and I'm feeling down. I let myself get my hopes up that it might happen naturally without IVF. I guess our journey is going to last a little longer.
Spring is great because we can actually go outside with freezing and getting stuck in the snow! DH has a power wheelchair now, so we can walk places when the weather is nice
3 positives (I really need to do this more often):
- I've been getting back into my workout routine, doing Pilates and Yoga each once a week.
- Next week I have an interview for a weekend job at a retail store I used to work for. I could really use the money.
- This month is our 2 year wedding anniversary!

@Happygal: Thanks for keeping up with the list..it is so helpful
@MrsTal: I'm sorry. We have MFI (on top of my endo and DOR) and are preparing to do IVF in early summer. Hugs. Have fun on vacation! Did you do an HTP at all?
@bhbee: I hope your RE is able to give you some guidance. I had really good luck with Femera. Exciting that you have a closing date on the house!
@macintosh: Welcome back. I hope the Clomid is working for your DH and you have enough to move ahead with IVF. Good luck with the job interview!

Spring means K and I can get back to going for bike rides, everything starts turning green, more day light hours and patios are open!
Update: We are not doing anything with the RE right now. I had my hysteroscopy last week and our IVF protocol appointment is at the end of May once we get back from our trip.
1. We leave in a month for our trip!
2. My SO is off on Good Friday to spend with family
3. Work is going well even if it is really busy
*BONUS* the local government candidate is proposing to fund one cycle of IVF per family beginning next year if they are elected. This would help so many families

Hi again!
Spring time in socal is basically like every other season! The biggest thing for me is that now the markets have a bigger selection of fruits and veggies.
Update: We saw an OB last Friday and talked about our options. I'm getting a pelvic ultrasound next week. Hubs is taking Fertility Blend and will have another SA done at the end of the month and the end of next month. We're hoping it improves so we can at least have a shot at an IUI.
Positives:
1. @macintosh: This month is our 2 year anniversary too! What day were you married on? Ours is on the 14th.
2. My fitness endurance is getting better. I'm running more laps now than ever before.
3. My friend asked me to be her MOH. Super excited to have something to take my mind of ttc, but also a little worried about all the planning coming up. The wedding is 9 months out!

@Happygal: No progestrone, my numbers are good, I go back Saturday, praying for doubling numbers, this always seems to be the rough patch!
kiwi / 636 posts
@Happygal: I was looking forward to updating! I had a long drawn out response that disappeared! So this morning I got an email with my progesterone update & discreetly doing the happy dance at my desk! My progesterone was at 19.2!! RE had informed me via email that I should have a more accurate HPT result if I tested 16 days after trigger but could test @14 days post trigger. With that high of a progesterone results, I'm not sure I can wait that long!
@MrsTal: @mrswin: yay for the trips, I'm hoping you get permanent souvenirs like @FaithFertility did.
I love the spring when the weather is nicer & days start getting longer. My flowers have already bloomed & I'm looking forward to baseball season!
@macintosh: I hope clomid works for your husband! And yay for your 2 yr anniversary!
@warbler: fx for the next step & I hope kaiser is able to provide with some help! I've found my services to be very responsive.
3 positives:
1. My Progesterone level was 19.2, much better than the 0.4, 1.4, 0.9, & 0.5 that I had in previous cycles!!! This means I've got a chance at getting preggers!
2. I received a pleasant voicemail from a colleague thanking me for leaving her a voicemail clarifying a misunderstanding that may have taken place with other individuals.
3. I have all the ladies on this thread to share my happy and sad feelings with and feel understood because we're all experiencing similar roller coaster emotions on our journey to motherhood.

@FatithFertility - Congrats! That is so exciting!!! Fingers crossed for doubling numbers.
@Happygal - Ha! Good Ole Mandell's Pharmacy, those folks get a lot of calls and money from me too
AF finally arrived so tomorrow I go for my baseline ultrasound and then start my femara. Hopefully, this first IUI will be good to us!
I'm so excited for Spring, although in Colorado we really only have 2 seasons: hiking season and skiing season. Unfortunately, its still skiing season, but today the high was almost 70! Can't complain about that!
Three positives for me:
1. The weather has been amazing the past few days
2. I'm kicking @ss at work lately
3. Hubs and I have a date night this weekend
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@FaithFertility: hang in there I have a good feeling about your doubling!!

Hi guys!!
No updates for me- just waiting for AF. Not sure when she will show her face since the chemical last cycle... I sure do feel it coming one of these days though!
Nothing too exciting to do here in the spring.. We try to get to the city a few times or a cubs game
3 positives:
1. OFF tomorrow !! Woot woot! DH is off too but golfing in the am- so I will sleep in a tad.
2. Cleaned my house tonight like a maniac after work which makes me happy.
3. Weather will be in the high 60's tomorrow so I will take the dog for a nice long walk!!
Negative: sorry I have to add this- my work is going to stay open 3 hours longer on weekends !! WHAT!! Granted- I work every other, that's still a big difference to me! Boo.
Ps: this is the latest I have been up in ages (11:33 central) but DH had to work in the city til 10:30 and haven't seen him in 2 days because of schedules so promised I would wait up so we could watch the real world challenge. Lame-ohs!

@MrsTal: yay for no meds !!! That's where we are at this month. Waiting to make an appt with an RE next month. Doing my research since we are paying all out of pocket!
pomelo / 5000 posts
@EmilyE: aren't they nice though? Everyone has always been so helpful and kind and I appreciate that they send Hershey Kisses.
@mrs bunchy: I love a clean house. Just wish it could stay that way. What kind of dog do you have?
@lazypanda: those are awesome progesterone numbers! I would do a little dance, too.
@Warbler: doesn't it feel good to move forward with testing and everything?
@mrswin: I hope that passes. That would be huge! Are you a big planner/researcher for travels? I love to look at reviews.
@MrsTal: have fun on your vacation!
@macintosh: glad to see you here! it's hard not to get your hopes up. I think everyone has probably had the hopes that they would get pregnant when they weren't trying. It's the infertility dream!

This is my first post here, I wasn't sure if I could even come here since we are not persuing treatments right now (we might never) but after a small meltdown this morning (in my office. awesome), I posted on a different board and @mrswin: suggested I join
What is fun about spring time in your town?
Everyone is in a great mood! We have long, horrible winters so everyone always goes stir crazy towards the end. Once spring hits, it's like a different city. And nothing beats seeing some green grass growing after months of snow, grey and brown!
Updates? Want to share three positives?
IF wise - I temped this month and got a clear O pattern, which made me very happy! I have cystic ovaries (still don't know if it's PCOS or not) so I've been worried about if I ovulate or not so it's been a big sigh of relief to know that I do. Or probably do.
Three positives:
- It's spring, so I can take my dogs on long walks without their paws freezing!
- We just booked to go to Vegas for my 30th birthday
- We bought a new house!
pomelo / 5000 posts
@alohaorchid: welcome! That's funny--based on your username and picture, i thought you were living in Hawaii!
I believe I remember you saying that you guys won't pursue any type of fertility treatment based your husband's bad experience with his ex--is that correct? Not factoring in your husband (which of course, you must do), what would you feel comfortable pursuing in terms of interventions?
nectarine / 2433 posts
@alohaorchid: Happy you decided to come over! Wow, Vegas and a house...sounds like you have a lot going on.
persimmon / 1404 posts
@Happygal: lol I wish! I just really like Hawaii... one day maybe
That's right, he won't consider anything because of what he went through in the past. I would be willing to do IUI, but I'm not comfortable with IVF.
nectarine / 2433 posts
@Happygal: I am actually less of a planner when it comes to travel. I like to have a loose idea of where I want to go and what I want to see but enjoy the process of just walking around and taking it all in. K on the other hand has things planned down to the hour....and he thinks it is appropriate to get up at 7:30am every morning while on vacation....crazy man!
pomelo / 5000 posts
@mrswin: is he organized like that about other stuff in general? I like to research two main things: where to stay and what to eat!
@alohaorchid: how do you feel about having different feelings from your spouse? Many of us have experienced this--one person is ready and wanting to try something, while another is not. I think it's common, but really tough!
kiwi / 533 posts
@Happygal: we have a yorkie that thinks it is a rabbit mixed with a large dog she literally hops when she runs super fast and has NO fear !! She's only 11.5 lbs goofy thing!!
nectarine / 2433 posts
@Happygal: Hahahahahaha NO! I jokingly tell him all the time that he married a project manager and CFO If it is not work or vacation related I organize and coordinate everything....but he cooks dinner 95% of the time so it seems like a fair trade!
nectarine / 2433 posts
@lazypanda: A permanent souvenir would be awesome... not likely at this point
ETA: Sorry I didn't mean to be snarky/rude
@mrs bunchy: Boo for longer weekend hours
cherry / 115 posts
@lazy panda Thank you, that makes me feel better knowing that you found them helpful!
@happygal Yes! I'm so eager to get ahead of everything.
@alohaorchid Congrats on the new house! I'm with you, no matter where I am I'm always thinking about Hawaii!
@mrs bunchy I'm in negotiations with my husband about dogs right now haha I want a small dog like a Yorkie, but he wants a Siberian Husky!
persimmon / 1404 posts
@Happygal: It's definitely tough! I had a miscarriage almost 3 years ago and so he has this attitude that we did it once, we will do it again. Maybe we will, who knows! I just wish he would talk about it, see my side of things and really open up to me about where he is at. I feel as though we would be more at peace with the entire situation if we could really talk about it.
@mrs bunchy: I have a yorkie bichon and she definitely thinks she's a big dog. Last summer we were out of town and saw deer and she tried to take them on!
@mrswin: thank you! I'm glad I came over
@Warbler: thanks!! We're just in the very early stages of building so I'm excited to get it all going
kiwi / 533 posts
@Warbler: yorkies sure are lovers mine snuggles me every night.
@alohaorchid: omg !! My dog would totally try to take on a deer too!!! Speaking of deer.. Glad the weather is nice.. But I almost hit a deer coming home from work last night. Eek! And I just got a new car!! That would be a total bummer.
kiwi / 636 posts
@alohaorchid: welcome! I also thought of Hawaii when I saw your username. I was just curious but has your DH asked you about your feelings regarding intervention? And are you able to talk to someone about this. I can definitely relate to the concerns regarding familial pressures to conceive a child or insensitive remarks about having kids.
@mrswin: not snarky whatsoever. I'm sure you'll have a blast in Europe! I'm more of a lets take in the sights type of person, the place I recommended to you was a total last minute find by DH & I when we found ourselves on our own for dinner one night & craving some "authentic" Parisian food. My DH sleeps in on vacations whereas I like to get up & tour the city and will be up early. Huge flip from when we're home & I can stay in bed until noon or later on weekends.
@Warbler: hopefully you won't have to use the infertility specialist for too long. I had originally chosen my plan because I used to have a different HMO growing up & remember having to always have to go through my PCP to get any specialty services, the would have to figure out if the person referred would be covered under my insurance plan. I like the ease that they already have all my info & the medical staff can more readily share the information as they are the same entity.
@Happygal: I'm always happy to find someone who would do the happy dance with me. DH just remains seated, stares and finds it amusing when I try to make him do the happy dance with me. It might also be that all the meds are out of my system by now so I'm much more happy vs the negative thoughts/feelings that were creeping in prior to my ultrasound.

Ladies.... if anyone is interested in participating in a sock/nail polish swap please check out this thread! http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/if-would-you-be-interested-in-a-if-sock-swap#post-1562653
persimmon / 1404 posts
@mrs bunchy: I'm glad you didn't hit it, that would have been horrible!
@lazypanda: the comments from my family just annoy me so bad. My mom is on a constant self-pity spree because I "won't give her grandchildren", I absolutely will not ever tell her about our IF issues so I don't think she will ever stop. My husband and I have kind of talked about things... I have made it clear that I will do anything up to IVF, so he knows where I'm at. He just won't get off this whole thing with infertility ruining marriages and the hope that we will get pregnant naturally again. We weren't trying the first time, hell I was even on BC!
kiwi / 636 posts
@alohaorchid: moms can be the worse offenders! I had to tell my mom to stop badgering me about it and one day got so angry, I told her that I couldn't have any children. She got so scared, she immediately had my aunt go to a fortune teller & came back to me to quit lying to her. Apparently the fortune teller said that I would have more than 1 boy and my cousin (who I learned may be dealing with IF) would only have 1 child (I think her fortune was for one girl). We'll see if that pans out.
Have any other ladies ever get their fortunes read & it come true? Do you even believe in it?
clementine / 901 posts
@lazypanda: My mom got her fortune read for me about my fertility and aparently I'm going to have a boy and a girl. Unless I get b/g twins that's highly unlikely, as IF has made me think we are going to be one and done.
@mrswin: I took an HPT but they were negative, AF showed up right on time.
I'm completely useless at work today, I'm suppose to leave at 4 and head straight to the airport so my mind cannot focus on anything.

Hi ladies! I've seen a couple of you on the April 6mo board but since cycle #15 is upon us, I may as well jump on board!
A little about me: ttc for 14mo, thought we were dealing with MFI; 1 natural pregnancy, ended in early m/c; 1 iui under our belt, 2nd one got cancelled due to scheduling issues; forced to take this coming cycle off due to a whole lotta testing coming up for me next week, including an HSG.
What's fun about spring here.... The pools finally open on Monday! It has been hot here and I am so ready to take advantage of it.
3 positives....
*Taking this cycle off means I can drink all the wine I want! Weeeee!
*Dh and I are headed to see my parents next weekend for Easter
*Potty training our new puppy is going better than expected

I'm on a bit of hiatus. DH has been seriously moody and I'm debating cancelling my June appointment and just coming to terms with things. Our "3 month plan" hasn't really worked this month with this moods...so...yeah.
I'm not trying to be a downer, just a realist.
Positives -
I don't have to spend Easter with my ignorant extended in laws (MIL's siblings)
Work has been great, a big learning curve in my newer position, but great.
My seedlings for my veggies are growing well

I have to laugh at your extended in law comment...glad to know we all have them
