Pay off my credit card, and then the rest of it would be for a Caribbean vacay, like, tomorrow, so we can get out before this next damn storm hits.

I would *want* to jet off to Europe w/DH & LO.
BUT I'd probably end up buying stocks for LO's college fund. Ho-hum.

Can I be tricky and buy a prepaid Mastercard and then use it for basement renos? If not, then vacation for sure.

Pay off LO's birth and then decorate our house with the rest! We could really use some bedside lamps, lol. I keep waiting to find a good deal!

I would love to say a last minute vacation or new wardrobe... But I would pay off our cc and car!

I would totally pay off my credit card, and then give DH the rest to put toward one of his. I would love to not have that stupid thing anymore! (or at least paid off and not use it)

Pay off some debt or put it towards the down payment for our next house (that we're currently on the hunt for)!

Buy at ticket/hotel room to Turkey to go to my friend's wedding. (We can't afford to go right now). And use the rest to pay off credit cards.

I'd book our next family vacation (down payment) and then buy new bedroom furniture.

Hire a contractor to help us finish our DIY bathroom remodel and pay off bills. Boring!

Hmmm we don't have any debt right now and we're not ready to buy a house just yet (so I can't say put it toward a down payment) so I'd say shop for clothes and camera lenses, and use the rest for a vacation!

I would be booking a family trip to DisneyLand/World or a Beaches Resort somewhere

I would probably pay off our midwife and buy the purse I want, maybe get a new lens for my camera.

@Ginger333: I wish LO was old enough and then my imaginary $5000 would totally be spent on Disney !! My favourite place on earth!

@char54: Me too! But a 9 month old and a pregnant lady does not sound like a fun time despite my love for it.
Can we pretend there's a rule where I'm not allowed to spend the money on bills and stuff like the mortgage? Because in that case I would be off to Hawaii in a heartbeat! I've never been and could use a tropical vacay right about now!

It has to be SPENT in 24 hours, so I can't put any into savings? We don't have any debt to pay off so...
I'd use it plus our tax return to buy a travel trailer to live in until we move back overseas, and then we could use it for furloughs.

@wonderstruck: haha I'm the same..I want it to be fun money. I asked dh and he said he would buy stocks. Boring!

We have no debt, so I would buy something fun. Either a piece of art or a new fancy couch, or both, depending on prices.

Has to be spent? Then a new laptop and a couple tickets to Hawaii!

Bills but anything left over would go toward purchasing fun home items!

Is it lame that I'd pay off our credit card? We'd still have enough left over for a solid, spendy weekend away, though. In my dreams!
