I hear people say they want to be taller, or tall women wishing they were shorter. I don't hear many who are content with their height!
I'm 5'8 and love my height, so I'd stay the same, or maybe add an inch.
What is your ideal height?

I said 5'7 because it feels tall but not too tall.
I'm pretty average at 5'5" but I feel like a troll next to some of my friends who are taller (5'7" - 5'10") and I'm jealous.

I'm 5'3" and i am content with my height. I'm a petite asian so too tall would look funny on me. I'm used to being petite i cannot imagine being tall! But i definitely wouldn't mind a couple inches on my legs =P so i voted a 5'5"

I am 5'4" and I like my height. But I guess if I could choose I'd add an extra 2 inches.

I'm 5' and I actually like it! I hated being so short as a kid/teenager (I was always the smallest in my class), but I've embraced it. It is annoying that pants are always super long (even the petite lengths), but oh well.

I said 5' 5" because I'm 5' 2". But I don't mind my height too much since Asian girls tend to be shorter. That said I wouldn't say no to an extra inch or two of height!

Oh shoot I voted wrong and voted with my current height. I'm 5' and I wish I was a size that I could actually buy clothes off the rack that fit, most specifically bottoms. So maybe I would want to be 5' 3" or 5' 4"?

@Boogs: pants are almost always too long for me. so 2 inches added to my legs would make a big difference!

I'm 5'1" and I love it. I wouldn't want to be any other height. I love being a shorty .
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@Mrs. Bee: It does! Petite or short are even usually long on me. To not have that struggle would be amazing!

I'm only 5'1 and I love my height. Yes, it would be nice to not have to deal with hemming pants. But my mom is 5'4 and still has that problem. We have long torsos and short legs. But I like being short and at happy with both my height and my body.

I'm 5'4" and always wanted to be 5'7". I think it's just right, not too short and not too tall

I'm 5"7 and am fine with that height. I feel like it's average for clothing-I have issues finding long enough jeans and leggings sometimes and I don't feel like I'm a tall person so I can't imagine the issues taller women have to go through!

I'm 5'9 and have come around to liking being pretty tall although finding pants that aren't too short is sometimes cumbersome. It's a weird in between size since often long/tall sizes are too long...
persimmon / 1114 posts
@Pumuckl: yes! I am 5'9 and have the hardest time with pants and dresses- especially bc most of my height is in my torso so the "tall" is often too long but the regular too short (as I type this I am just realizing I should probably pay to get my tall pants hemmed, but am way too lazy for that).
I am 5'9 and somehow am surrounded by petite women (my 4 best friends are all under 5'2 and my mom and sisters all max out by 5'5) so I have spent a lifetime wanting to be petite (and I blame all of them for my bad posture because I have to slouch to hear them ;). I think If you had asked me Years ago I would have said I want to be 5'3 or so. But at this point, I am mostly ok with where I am.

I'm 5'6 and I'd stick with that or maybe 5'7. Pants are easy, and I feel fairly average (and I'm good with average!).

I am very happy with my height of 5'7". Tallish but not really tall.
papaya / 10570 posts
I'm 5'5 and I like it. If I could choose though, I'd be a petite little dot so I picked 5'3.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
I am 5'4". It's too tall for petites (particularly in the rise) but in regular sizes, my pants need to be hemmed. So I would either want to be 5'2" so I fit into petites or 5"7" so my pants don't need to be hemmed.

I'm 5'2 and I like being petite but I'd give myself a couple more inches if I could.

I'm a little under 5'8 and I wish I was more like 5'4. My whole life I've had people comment about how tall I am. I mean yes, I'm tall but not abnormally so. I've always wished I was I was petite. I think it goes hand in hand with struggling with weight - I've always felt enormous next to much more petite women. Plus, DH is only about 5'10, so I wouldn't mind a few more inches between us.

I'm 5'4 and wouldn't mind 2-3 more inches. Someday, I'm going to be the shortest one in my family.

I'm 5'7" with really long legs and I have such a hard time finding work appropriate dresses! Ideally I'd be 5'5" so I could wear heels without feeling too tall. I'm mostly okay with my height though.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
5'10" and I typically have to buy long pants. With heels I feel too tall. Its awkward around shorter guys (especially if you have to hug them).
But I do like being tall especially in the business world. And I had a big advantage in a lot of sports growing up.
Ideally I think 5'8" would be nice. Right on the average but tall line.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@ShootingStar: Yes, petite is NEVER a word that would be used to describe me. Granted a lot because of my weight but also because of height.
pomelo / 5573 posts
I'm 5'8" and I wouldn't mind being a few inches shorter, especially right now when all the pants are ankle length. Mostly I'd like to be slightly shorter than my husband instead of slightly taller.

@bloved: You forgot one peice bathing suits! They are usually so tight on my shoulders and up my crotch! I'm also 5'9 and find that WHBM jeans fit great! Most styles I order long but can also get away wth regular length. I'm also in between lengths.
pomelo / 5791 posts
I'm 5'9" and comfortable with my height. Clothes and bathing suits can be tricky, but overall I'm happy being on the tall side!
pear / 1657 posts
I am 5'9" and I'd love to be just a bit shorter - maybe 5'7". Mostly because I'd love to wear higher heels without feeling like a giant.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I'm 5'2 and would love to be 5'4 - but no taller b/c my husband is only 5'6!
apricot / 483 posts
I'm 5'10". I think I'd prefer to be an even 5'9" because my pants always seem to be an inch too short, or 5'11" because I really do love being a PRESENCE when I walk into a room. It used to make me self conscious when I was younger but I've definitely embraced it.
kiwi / 556 posts
I'm 5'2 and my husband is a full foot taller than I am! I'd love to be way closer in height to him. Plus if I were taller it'd be easier to see in a crowd, drive a car, sit in a booth, buy pants that don't need to be hemmed, and reach things in the kitchen or grocery store! I'm always having to ask strangers to reach things for me.
clementine / 955 posts
I love my 5'4" self. DH is 5'11" so I feel like it's the perfect Height differential.
Forgot to add: I feel like most things are made for somebody 5 and a half foot tall. Stove height, fridge, kitchen countertop height. Everytime I wear 4 to 6 inch heels, I feel like I'm straining mY back leaning over a countertop.
