If you could live anywhere other than where you live now, where would it be?

We both really loved Paris and want to eventually invest in a pied a tierre there, but we are done with city life for now and want nothing more than to live in the suburbs near my parents, lol!

I love where we currently live, but we are hoping to move to Europe for a year or so within the next years - likely Geneva. I love everything about the French part of Switzerland.

Big island, NYC, San Diego or Baja or San Fran (Berkeley) or Big Sir, anywhere New Zealand, anywhere Europe... Montreal. ..

@locavore_mama: my heart is in Chicago! I love Chicago and my family is from there (they live all over now) and I have a strong affinity for the place. Such a liveable city!

Lately my heart has been yearning to go back to Ecuador, so that's where I would be. My dream is to someday buy and renovate an old hacienda in the countryside with big views of the Andes.

Wah, I want to go back!!!

    I love it here!
If I had to move somewhere, I'd live in manhattan beach, ca.

Within the US: 1) Cumberland, MD. I don't know why, but I've always wanted to live there in the Allegany Mountains. It's close to my family on the east coast and DC wouldn't be too far of a drive. 2) NOVA, since that's where I grew up, I love the area, great public transportation, and all the museums are free.
    3) Tallahassee: We loved it when we visited.

Abroad: Ireland seems pretty cool. Japan would be neat as well.

DH wants to move to Austin where a friend lives. It's a great city, but we don't have a support structure there and she's not reliable. I'd love to live somewhere a little warmer, but we're close enough to my parents where we are, so we have long term babysitting close-ish. I'd love to live in Washington, DC again or maybe somewhere in Tennessee.

If it was temporary I think I would like to give island life a try for a year, otherwise I'm right where I want to be!

    US: Hawaii
    Outside: Jamaica/Bora Bora/Fiji

Hawaii! DH and I loved Maui and Kona/Big Island and I just have fond memories of our honeymoon there. We can't wait to go back.
But right now I'd take anywhere warm!

In Whitby. It's a little town by the sea in North East England. I left a bit of my heart there when DH and I first visited.

I also entertain romantic ideas of living in a wooden house near a lake in Maine. I'd paint it a greyish blue colour and put shutters on the windows. Sometimes I torture myself by checking out the property websites and seeing what I could buy for the same price as our tiny weeny house in the UK. I can haz?

Montana on a ranch. I've always wanted to live there.

I've always love Vancouver. It's got city, nature, ocean, and mountain. The air is so clean and people seem really healthy! For somewhere further away...London. In Europe so we could travel easily, but still speak the language!

I have always wanted to live in SF. That one is a possibility given our careers.

Outside the US, when we visited Lima and Rome we said it would be amazing to live there!

@shopaholic: Vancouver is awesome! But it's really similar to Seattle IMHO. Seattle has better shopping, is more affordable and has way more jobs, Vancouver has 1000% better Asian food.

We currently live on 15 acres in the country and I'm not sure it really gets better than that. But if I had to choose somewhere else, I'd want to live near Denver, CO or Bozeman, MT.

@Greentea: @locavore_mama: we LOVE Chicago! There is a very real chance that we would move there in the future!

I will say, though, that we love where we live now-I just love to travel!

Well it would take a team of horses to get me to move out of my happy little town, but if I did have to go anywhere I'd probably move out east to be with DH's extended family in New Brunswick. Basically I'm a big ole baby and want to be near family. So if it can't be mine I'll pick his

Honestly, I love where we are. I would move back to our old town in a heartbeat but there are more options for jake here (museums, activities, parks, etc) and my family is so close that it would be really difficult to get us to move.

If we are being unrealistic? I'd like to have a 2nd home on crooked island in the Bahamas and spend a few months/year there.

I love it here! Boston is my home.
Sadly it probably won't be my forever as it's expensive to buy a decent sized place here.

I also really love Southern California, I love Los Angeles and the Valley. I loved living there 15+ years ago, I'd go back.

Anywhere but here?! Well, May-October anywhere else!

Ultimately mid-Atlantic region or the Pacific Northwest.

Outside of the US- anywhere, but I loved Switzerland and Fiji.

Back home in Australia. Hopefully we'll make the move in the next few years. Before then, I'd love to live in the Bay Area or the Pacific Northwest for a couple of years. Wildest dream location would be Barcelona.

Unrealistically: anywhere that has a warm climate all year round. I hate snow and cold. I hate snow and cold. Snow. Cold. Hate.

Since snowmageddeon and sub zero temps are headed this way, it makes me dream to move to Hawaii. We would be there in a heartbeat if there was a good job available
