I eat mine medium rare. I don't plan on changing that when I'm pregnant.

I'm mid rare all the way. I am also on team lunch meat and sushi. I do have burgers cooked thru.

Steak is completely safe to eat as long as the outside has at least been cooked somewhat. With steak, the potential bad bacteria/virus/whatever is on the outside of the meat. With ground meat, that all gets mixed together which is why you need to cook a burger to a certain internal temp to kill whatever stuff is in the middle.

Depending what kind of steak it is, I always eat it rare or med rare. I just can't imagine eating a steak well done. Hamburger on the other hand must be cooked all the way through. We don't even get the option of how we would like our hamburgers cooked in Canada. Although, prior to pregnancy I had a few amazing medium burgers in Maui that were beyond delicious.
