Would you rather she be a girly girl (into dressing up, painting nails, etc) or a tomboy (outdoorsy, into sports, etc).
I'm a girly girl, so I guess I'd prefer that LO is, too! I'm looking forward to getting our nails done together (assuming she's into it). DH might like if she were into sports, though.

Hard! I love sports and can't wait to hopefully coach her teams if she plays...but girly girl stuff is so fun. I'll take girly girl I guess.

Sadie's already a girly girl! Obviously that can change, but I'm hoping it doesn't. She loves jewelery, shoes, and make up, and already loves shopping with me. My dream!

Eta: IF I had to pick one or the other: Tomboy. I'm so not a girl girl and would not be able to understand why she's into make up, hair, looks, clothes and all that other stuff.

I love jewelry, nail polish, shopping, but dammit I will kick your ass, too :). Sports boosts confidence in ways nothing else can.

My step daughter is a girly tomboy! She loves the outdoors, adventures, soccer, tennis, hiking, etc. definitely isn't afraid to get dirty or break a sweat! But she loves loves loves fashion, shopping, having long hair, romantic movies, cute boys, manicures, etc. well rounded!

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me. I'm not very girly, though, so I'll be kind of useless at teaching her how to do hair and makeup and things like that. Fortunately, we have some fashionable friends who can help out if it comes to that.

If I had to chose I'd choose girly girl. But I'd really prefer a tomboy who likes girly things too! That's what I was growing up. I loved to play hard and get dirty outside (my passion was beating boys at their own games ), but I also loved dolls and frilly dresses.

Definitely both but if I had to choose one I would pick girly girl...I just don't want her to be superficial, obsessed with her appearance, or entitled.
My SIL is a total girly girl and we have nothing in common bc she will spend hours on her hair and makeup and expect to not lift a finger. I love getting pampered and shopping but I'm low maintenance and definitely don't expect others to do everything for me

Either. I think we'd both have an easier time with a tomboy. I imagine my future kids to be mini-versions of their mama (not me, the other one) but I'd have no problem indulging in some truly girly activities with her if that's her thing. Maybe she'll do my hair for me.

To me they are not in any way mutually exclusive. I love all things outdoors. I literally hike and fish in dresses...
