    Both

Cop out with both. I was a tom boy in elementary school who still liked boys and shopping.

I want LO to be a girly, sporty and nerdy girl

It's hard to say, I was a GG when I was really young, more of the sporty variety as a teen, and I guess a mix as an adult? I hope she loves traveling and cooking and hanging out with her mom.

If this baby is a girl, she can be whatever she wants to be, I don't have a preference.

Although when it comes to me, I hate sports AND I hate anything pink, ruffly and princessy. So if she grows up to be like me, she'll be neither of those things. But if not, that's fine.

Ideally both! I want her to watch sports with her dad (and play if she wants to!) and bake cookies and get pedis with me. But if I had to choose I guess I'd say tomboy. Girly girl sort of implies a pre-occupation with looks and I hope that we raise her to be confident and not worry (too much) about her appearance.

She's both and I like it that way.

Nerdy! I don't wear make-up or paint my nails. DH and I actually oppose most organized sports for a variety of reasons. I hope she loves math, science and history. We're looking forward to taking her to the Ren Faire and SCA events. We'll teach her to play D&D when she's old enough.

I do think there is some value in teaching her to be feminine. That's something I feel like my parent's dropped the ball on.
