I get ultrasounds often, and every single time the doctor comments on how big the baby is. Last week, she was in the 77th percentile.
Today, my doctor measured my belly and said I'm "measuring huge!" She said I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead!!!!
Soo....am I destined to be huge until my due date or could baby be ready to come sooner than EDD?
Did anyone else measure big?

Nope. I measured 1.5-2 weeks ahead the whole time and C was born 40+6.... at 10lbs8oz. My midwife had estimated between 9 and 10lbs.

Once I got into my 2nd trimester I always measured 1 to 2 weeks ahead. I had LO at 36 Weeks and she was 6.4lbs.

S was 10 pounds at 39 weeks...I didn't start measuring ahead with S til 37 weeks. This time around, if the ultrasounds are saying "big baby", so in fact, I will deliver early if so..but not naturally.

I consistently measured ahead & was pretty big, but delivered a 7lb baby at 39 weeks.

I've been measuring big. At 37W I was measuring at 40W and I was in the 77th percentile. At 38W there's still no baby & I'll be induced next week due to hypertension.
Our siblings were all in the 8lb range. I was 6lb15oz, DH was 11lb12oz, so I'm not sure what to expect.

I always measured exactly on track and had her one day before my due date.

Yes, I consistently measured a week ahead starting at a 15 week u/s, and he was born a week early. I think he got too big and ran out of room though. They were estimating him to be much bigger than he ended up being, but it was because he was very long.

I measured big and lo came on her due date. 8 lbs 13 oz.

I did, but I was told tall women quite often measure ahead (I'm 5'10").
And my DD was born at 42+1 after a failed induction....so, no! DD was 8lbs 4oz...so not overly large.

I measured big from about 28 weeks on. DS came at 40w1d and was 9lbs4oz

I'm just 22 weeks, so this thread doesn't apply yet, but I am enjoying reading through it!
It's so odd that they tell you ladies that your babies are 'big' ... I thought babies grew at different rates after 18 weeks or so.
Also, @pmerr, your hubby was an awesomely big baby! Was he born vaginally? Best of luck with your induction! Sounds like you two have a good chance for an 8 lb. baby!

I measured big the whole time. Delivered on my due date. 10lbs 1 oz.

With DD I was measuring big the whole time. They never did anything, and I was induced at 40 weeks 6 days. DD was 9 lbs 6 oz (which explained why I was so terribly uncomfortable!)
With DS I was also measuring ahead, my water broke at 37 weeks 1 day and he was 7lbs 13 oz (pretty big considering he was 3 weeks early!!)

@Vegmama: He was delivered vaginally, one shoulder was dislocated & cord around his neck, but he made it out! We'll be induced next week, so we'll see what baby actually is!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I measured big the whole time, at least once I was 2 weeks ahead, but I delivered a perfectly average sized baby five days late. I was big because of extra fluid (but not enough to be a concern).

With my first, I measured 6-8 weeks ahead until the end, when I just leveled out between 39-41 cm. and Deere Boy was born at 41+ weeks, possibly 42+, weighing 7 lbs. 9 oz.
Measured perfectly right on target with Tractor Girl and she was born at 39+5, 7 lbs. 4 oz.
Now I'm 29 weeks and measuring 34 or 35 cm., so I guess we'll see!

DD measured over a week ahead, starting at about 20 weeks. However, my belly was on the smaller side the entire time. DD was born nearly two weeks late, and weighed 6 lbs 14 oz. I was expecting a mammoth by that time, but she was pretty little.
