@mrs. 64: Haha! They've blogged about people recognizing them and they say they get a kick out of it. You totally should have!
If I was really really sure, then I would. But odds are, I wouldn't be sure.

@mrsmenow: Bahahahahahahaha!!
I don't think I'd ever see a bee here in Iowa... but I'm super shy irl, so I'd probably be too embarrassed to say hello anyways. Unless they said hi first, then I'd say yo!

Oh sure, I would.
I once recognized a girl who posted on my city's board for The Knot website (we were getting married at the same venue, so I took note of her photos), and said hi to her in a coffee shop She seemed only minimally creeped out.

I would totally second guess myself and never say anything because I'd be too afraid I was wrong. I'm also a HUGE introvert so I get total anxiety from talking to strangers.

@TurtleDoves: Haha, no, I don't suppose you would have unless you were in the middle of nowhere (AKA Central PA)

That's so crazy, I was literally just thinking "if I saw a bee IRL, would I recognize her 100% or be like 'how do I know her?'"
I think if I were totally sure, I would say hi if it were an appropriate situation (I probably wouldn't shout across a street, for example!). I'd most likely second guess myself too long, though.

I think I'd say something!
I once saw a popular blogger's (then) 3 year old son at an NYC park. He was with his nanny and his mom (the blogger) wasn't there, so I didn't bother them of course, but I thought it was neat to see him IRL. Made me think though about how much risk bloggers take putting photos up of their kids and their neighborhoods. From the blog I knew we lived near each other, but I didn't ever think I'd run into them.

@mrs. 64: You should have! I met them recently and they are sooo nice!
If I looked decent and I knew the bee knew me I would say hi. Otherwise probably not because I'm super shy.

I saw Mrs. Socks from WB in Phila. when visiting my family. I totally said hi (and then felt super embarrassed--I was unshowered and felt super grubby!) She seemed really flattered through, and I was glad I said hi

I probably would, although I don't think HB bloggers show their own faces enough for me to really recognize any. With weddingbee I REALLY would recognize a bee and actually once saw a bee's husband in the airport and tweeted the wife and she confirmed and then told him and we said hi and had a good laugh at their celeb status. It was funny and worth it!

I don't think I would. I'm super shy IRL, and really bad about recognizing people. I would doubt myself and think it wasn't really them.
