I lent out a bunch of summer stuff to a friend who was going on a warm weather vacation since it was February and I didn't want her to have to buy a whole summer wardrobe for her 3 month old and never be able to use it again. She gave everything back in good condition (only used it a week!)
Otherwise, I am keeping everything until we're doing having kids. T has really nice clothes and I want them to last for other kids.

My rule will be to loan/give away things that I wouldn't care if they never came back or didn't come back in good condition. Everything else, I'm keeping in case we have another.

I kept the stuff I liked and let a pregnant friend have her pick of the rest. We'll donate the remainder of what was left over from that batch. The reality is that between gifts, hand-me-downs we'd receive, and pre-baby purchases, there was only a small amount of newborn and 0-3/3-month clothing that we would actually use again "just in case" we have another boy. I think your plan sounds fine, in other words!

@MrsTiz: I think this will be the plan!
@mrs. wagon: I noticed that in @MungBean:'s post the other day. I've been adding Oxi-Clean now to our laundry and re-washing some of the stuff before I put them away!
