...still no signs that she's anywhere close to coming out on her own. I've tried just about every wives tale I can think of, and I'm still only 1cm dialated and about 50% effaced. I even lost my mucus plug over a week ago. *sigh*
I'm so ready to meet this little girl (and be able to put on my own shoes)!

You're almost there!
I was only 1/2 cm when I went into labor, my friend though didn't go into labor until she was 4 cm.
I remember looking everything up though for signs of impending labor and there was always such a wide range of ...I had my baby 30 minutes after that happened to I didn't go into labor for 2 weeks.
You're almost there, try and get some good sleep and rest, stay well fed and hydrated.

Most women have their first babies late! I gave birth 2 days past my due date!! I can't believe it's almost time!! So exciting

Good luck and hang in there! She'll come out soon enough. =) I'm a few days shy of 39 weeks today and am trying everything under the sun to encourage baby girl to come out as well. No signs of anything and I think I still have my mucus plug.

It can only go on for so much longer! You are at the longest only days away, keep thinking of that- and walk, walk, walk if you can. Meeting your girl will be the most amazing thing ever- you are meeting someone you already know for the first time. My reaction was "Oh, its you, I know you!"

I know exactly how you feel! It's exactly what I went through. She was 10 days late though. It wasn't until we were in the car on the way to the hospital to be induced that it felt like she was ready to come out. Just before they administered the pitocin I went into labor. Here's hoping she surprises you much sooner than 10 days late!

Yay, you're almost there! The good news is your LO has to come out sometime soon. I was also in your shoes... and complaining that I wanted her to come. And then she decided to come on her due date. You never know, your might start feeling something tonight!
Until then enjoy your baby free days when you get to eat with your hands free and sleep through the night (well kind of, you still have to pee a lot).

Good luck! I'm sure it will happen before too long. At our birth class the other night the midwife gave a tip that I hadn't heard to speed up labor or get it going: go up and down stairs sideways (like a crab walk, if that makes sense). She said that the rocking motion of the hips can really get things going.

I went to the doctor today and he said that I'm still 1cm and 70% effaced so they're scheduling the induction for next Tuesday. If she doesn't come out on her own, she'll definitely be evicted by then!

I was 40 weeks plus 1 when I gave birth to my daughter 1 year ago. I'm excited for you. I drank raspberry tea leaf which sent me into contractions but labor lasted over a day. I wish I would have just let her come out when she was good and ready. Don't want to speed up the contractions, just to have a slow laborious labor. Praying for your awesome delivery.

Good luck! My prenatal yogi swears my primrose oil, you may want to ask your doctor about taking some!
