    @sweetooth: Congrats! We had to do IUI with injectables with our first, so I can totally relate to what you went through. Makes the success a little sweeter I think!

    @travelgirl1: @sweetooth: congrats!!! I love seeing our group grow

    @Candy_nee: I've only taken two tests and I've decided that's enough for me. I have one more frer but I'll try not to use it. Last cycle I had a m/c and I obsessed about the darkness of the lines. It drove me crazy and I don't want to go back there again!! You're pregnant! Put the tests away

    You ladies are making me nervous with the m/s talk. So far no food aversions, no nausea...

    @sweetooth: wow, I can't believe your first beta is 457!!! How many dpo are you? Could there be more than one in there?!

  4. Candy_nee

    apricot / 324 posts

    @QBbride: That's what my husband said - step away from the tests! I have googled if the darkness of the tests matter. It's getting ridiculous. But, after roughly 8 tests, I've decided to call it and agree that I am pregnant.

    Welcome new July mamas!

    @Candy_nee: I have taken three tests so far. The first one at 9 DPO DH didn't even really believe was positive, so I took another at 10 DPO which was much more clear. Then I bought another box and took one at 12 DPO to see if the line had gotten darker. Now I've got one left......so I guess I'll take it in a few days, because well, why not?

    How is everyone feeling? I was super crampy last night and tonight. It made me a little nervous, but I also know that cramping is a common early symptom. Plus the cramps feel different from AF cramps.

  6. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @sweetooth: Congratulations!
    @angelachase: Cramps are totally and completely normal...just means your uterus is stretching and little babe is getting all nestled.
    @QBbride: Don't be nervous! Maybe you are just lucky plus it is sooooo early.

    @simplyfelicity: Yeah--I was just putting away some dishes and noticed when I lifted my arms above my head that my stomach feels sort of tight and sore, like if I had been doing lots of crunches. Except I definitely haven't

  9. simplyfelicity

    @angelachase: That's the feeling!

    @angelachase: I had cramps yesterday and a bit today. As @simplyfelicity: said, all totally normal, baby getting comfy

    I'm feeling really tired, actually. And nothing tastes good. I am pretty terrified of morning sickness since I had it terribly with my daughter, but also scared of not getting it since that's what happened when I miscarried. There is no pleasing me

    Location: Toronto

    EDD: July 14th, three days after my birthday!

    How far along: 4w

    First child? Second! I have a daughter who turns two on Thursday! Really I see this baby as #3 since I miscarried at eight weeks over summer.

    First doctor appointment: I have an appointment booked for tomorrow regarding something completely different, so I guess I'll mention it then.

    Any symptoms so far? Very tired, nothing tastes nice and a bit of cramping.

    Who have you told? You guys and some close IRL friends. I think I'll tell my family at the weekend... My sis had a baby yesterday so don't want to butt in on her news. We'll probably wait a while to tell DH's fam.

    Very excited to be starting this journey with you guys

    @angelachase hi due date twin!

    I have another test that I am going to take today. I got a positive digital at like 13 dpo but then some spotting over the weekend. Had a beta done yesterday for the spotting - I will have the results this afternoon and then another beta Wednesday. I forgot how scary the beginning can be!! I am really just trying to be happy that I am pregnant today!

  15. Candy_nee

    apricot / 324 posts

    @angelachase: Yes! I get that same feeling when I stretch suddenly or stand up too quick. The same thing happened when I was pregnant with DS too.

    I'm also exhausted. I was in bed before 9 last night and it was glorious. I'm not so much food averse and I'll start to eat something then about halfway through it feel like I'll throw up if I eat another bit. Yesterday it was oatmeal. Oatmeal?!

    Also, I took another test this morning. It's ridiculous guys. But, it was my last one in the house. It still said positive. It wasn't crazy dark, but it wasn't a squinter either. I'll take it. And not buy anymore.

    @Boheme: @simplyfelicity: Thank you!

    @Candy_nee: We did injectibles with IUI for our first too. I've been following your story, I'm so thrilled for you that you got pregnant without returning to the RE!

    @QBbride: I'm trying not to think of multiples right now. Just taking it day-by-day and hoping for doubling beta numbers. Multiples would blow my mind...

    @travelgirl1: I hope you get a slight case of morning sickness Enough to ease the nerves, but not so bad that it knocks you out. And happy birthday to your little girl! My little guy turns 1 next Wednesday!

    Is anyone doing an early ultrasound? I am trying to decide if I should be "sure" of my dates (ie no ultrasound until 12 weeks) or "unsure" and have one btw 7-10.
    I just have this fear of getting to 12 and getting bad news :s

    I'm thinking I might be "unsure" and aim for 9 weeks (after American Thanksgiving). But on the other hand it would be nice to know before I travel that everything is ok too! But then 7 weeks still feels a bit early. Gah

    Lol I'm way overthinking everything :s

    @fuzzypeaches: I have one at 9 weeks, the day before Thanksgiving

  19. Candy_nee

    apricot / 324 posts

    @fuzzypeaches: I'm having one at 8W3D at my first OB appointment.

  20. fuzzypeaches

    clementine / 950 posts

    @Boheme: I kind of feel like that's probably the most reasonable bc if you see the heartbeat at. 9weeks you can be so much less worried whereas at 7weeks it's still so early.

  21. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

    @fuzzypeaches: I'll probably have one at 7w because it's protocol at my RE. We actually saw a little heartbeat for our first baby at 6w1d! If it would help ease your nerves, I'd schedule one.

  22. Boheme

    papaya / 10473 posts

    @fuzzypeaches: I am so nervous to buy LO a Big Brother shirt for Thanksgiving before that appointment, but I won't have time afterward since we're traveling!

  23. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @fuzzypeaches: Mine is scheduled for 8w2d. I wanted it far enough along to see a heartbeat but not too far away.

  24. littlebittyhouse

    pear / 1570 posts

    @fuzzypeaches: as long as betas double on Thursday then we will have an early u/s about 6w. made me feel better with my first to see the little bean in there.

  25. angelachase

    apricot / 306 posts

    @Candy_nee: I'm incredibly exhausted too. Last night I got home from work, tidied up the house, made dinner, and then CRASHED--like full on sound asleep on the couch. My husband had to shake me awake when he got home from work, I was so tired. He said for a second he got scared something was wrong with me!

    @fuzzypeaches: My first appt is at 8W5D (Dec 5th) but we are tentatively planning to tell my parents at Thanksgiving so we can tell them in person. It makes me nervous to announce to anyone before that first appointment though!

    Ugh I feel horrible today. Not sure if maybe I have a bug or something but just so sluggish and nauseous. If this is early MS it does not bode well! I started feeling rough on Sunday, so before I knew I was pregnant, but DH totally thinks it is completely in my head

    Hope you guys are all feeling well!

    Ugh, I'm so sick. I walked in to the cafeteria at work and got hit with a tidal wave of nausea. I'm so much sicker with #2 than #1.

    I just called to get the results of my first beta - nurse is going to call me back - my heart is literally pounding!

    @littlebittyhouse: thinking of you and sending good vibes!

    You know what's worse than being extremely hormonal - working in a crazy place and having the shittiest week ever and being hormonal. Already cried in the bathroom before lunch. Good times.

    Umm....my beta was 2,371

  31. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @travelgirl1: @Boheme: Same here! I could only get through some of my half caff coffee and was so afraid I would throw up in the wastebasket in my classroom. Then, I ate a baked potato at lunch and feel like its going to be making a reappearance. Can morning sickness work like that? Where you get sick after you eat something that you weren't having an aversion to while eating it?

    @littlebittyhouse: Wow! That's high...what dpo are you? Fingers crossed for good numbers on Thursday.

    @littlebittyhouse: That's awesome!!!!!!!

    @simplyfelicity: That's happened to me a lot - either right after or even halfway through I'll feel like throwing it all up.

    17dpo today! Instead of doing a draw tomorrow they are going to do an ultrasound on Friday woohoo!

  38. sweetooth

    I'm sorry you guys are already dealing with nausea & aversions. I'm hoping that's still a few weeks out for me. I told my husband to get ready to cook for himself once it starts!

    @simplyfelicity: you just reminded me how much I loved baked potatoes during my first pregnancy...I'd love it if I could have one right now!

  39. littlebittyhouse

    pear / 1570 posts

    @sweetooth: @simplyfelicity: thank you!!! dh is not going to join me becaus i think all we will see is the gestational sac? i have a regular appointment and dating scan set for december 5th so he will come with me to see the heartbeat

  40. fuzzypeaches

    @Candy_nee: I cried at work too last week lol. Although I can't say it's never happened before

    @simplyfelicity: that happened to me a lot!

    @littlebittyhouse: awesome!!!!

    Am jealous of all your early u/s! My dilemma was a moot point bc I can't even get in to see my gp until nov 20 (7w 2d) so my u/s will definitely be after that.
