@QBbride: I think they always take what they need! Even if you become nutritionally deficient (like really cute parasites!)
Glad you are feeling a bit better!
Anyone have exciting weekend plans?! TGIF for sure over here

@fuzzypeaches: it's so hot here....I took LO to the park at 10 and it was already 88 degrees.....
@simplyfelicity: boo for having to work this weekend!

@simplyfelicity: I guess that makes it kind of worth it! Haha @Ginabean3: it's so nice here too! We spent all day outside and it was glorious! Almost like May not March I love it! @Reese: thank goodness no, but my cousin (due in april) had it and said it helped to sit on a cold pack? Ouch
apricot / 306 posts
@Reese: YES! Tailbone/hip/groin pain has been my companion since week 18 or so. I saw a chiropractor two weeks ago and it REALLY helped but I haven't been back and it's recurring.....need to make another appointment.

@simplyfelicity: How you doing lady? Sorry I missed your last bubs edd, but I totally know how you feel. I didn't do well on my date at all in January, and DH didn't even remember. Hope you're feeling better now that it's passed!!
Ugh, I can't believe the weekend is over already. I feel like they're flying by, now that we're starting to work on the nursery (and it's not going nearly as fast as I'd like!).
In other news, I'm FINALLY starting to feel LO move! I'm so excited. Can't wait for it to be more regular

@ValentineMommy: yay for movement!
At night I wake up often because of hip and tailbone pain .. also totally puked this morning yay still morning sickness!

@Mrs. Pickles: ugh, that sucks!
Well, 21 weeks tomorrow. I had my monthly appt. today. I've gained 15 lbs so far! Is that normal?
Baby has days where he moves like crazy, and then some days where he seems lazy. I get freaked out when I don't feel him moving a lot!
My back is hurting in a weird way today, and I feel kinda sorta crampy (like almost menstrual cramps.) I'm hoping it's just RLP. I mentioned it to my doctor but he didn't seem concerned, and gave me a Rx for Magnesium. But baby looked good on the US so...all is well I guess! (Knock on wood )
pomelo / 5093 posts
@TheSwissWifeStyle: I've been taking magnesium and it is amazing. I take it for water retention, and I really notice when I miss a few days. I need to look into the long term side effects of it, because I kind of want to keep taking it forever.

@ValentineMommy: I am feeling much better. That date has just been staring me in the face, ya know? I am relieved to have it over with.
And Yay for feeling movement! I can see it from the outside now, it's pretty cool.

@Mrs. Pickles: Oh no! Hope it passes soon!
@TheSwissWifeStyle: Yay for a great ultrasound!

Hi everyone! I know I haven't commented much but I've been trying to keep up with the conversation! I just wanted to update....my new due date is July 24th and we are officially Team Blue! We weren't planning on finding out but we ended up caving. It was a bit of a shock as both DH and I both thought it would be a girl. Baby boy has been moving around quite a bit, which is a great feeling. Things are finally starting to feel more real
I hope you all are feeling well!

Hey July Mamas! I've been a little MIA. I learned last week that my team at work is no longer going to be supported by my company so it's been full steam ahead on job hunting. Just the type of thing you want to do at 22+ weeks preggers.
I had an OB appointment today and heard the little guy's healthy heartbeat. I also got some samples of diclegis. I'm just so sick of waking up and battling the nausea. I should feel awesome and invincible right now! At least, I did last time around... Did anyone have better luck with Unisom and B6? Should I start there before I jump in to the diclegis? Or just go for it and stop feeling like crap?
Also - holy crap - the next appointment I made includes my glucose test. Is it really time for that already?! This is flying by...
pomelo / 5791 posts
@sweetooth: I say just go for the diclegis. It worked miracles for me, hoping it does the same for you!!
All the sudden having a major panic moment about repeat c-sections. Why did I "dr google" it? DH and I want at least 3 children, if not 4, and now I'm freaking out about it! (I have to have medically necessary csecs). Ughh, pregnancy panic is the worst.
Also, major hunger has come on. I constantly want to snack, snack, snack. It's terrible! I had gained very little in the 1st tri (esp compared to my first preg), but whoa mama, pretty sure I'm packing on the pounds now!

@simplyfelicity: We were doing our tour of the hospital on Saturday and all of a sudden I started feeling the bubbles and flutters that everyone describes. Felt it a few times since then which is reassuring. I was starting to think I would just skip to full on kicks!
kiwi / 584 posts
@sweetooth: my glucose test is next week!! I'm super nervous about it this time for some reason
@ValentineMommy: I'm worried about my repeat c section this time as well, especially recovery with a toddler
clementine / 950 posts
@Spinny: More boys!!! Congratulations!
@sweetooth: Oh my goodness that's awful is the job market ok for what you do?
@ValentineMommy: I didn't have a c/s but I'm getting super freaked out about labor again. I was totally unreasonable INSANE last time and it was so embarrassing (i.e. refused to let them do cervical checks, announced several times I was "going home" and "changed my mind" it was mortifying lol. I'm so worried I won't be able to hold it together!
@Bluemasonjar: feeling movement is my absolute favourite thing about being pregnant :)!
clementine / 950 posts
p.s. this might be weird, but is anyone having really bad neck pain? I don't know if it's pregnancy related (from different posture/sleeping positions?) but my neck is KILLING me. I hate taking so much tylenol but it is so bad I can't sleep! Any suggestions?
pomelo / 5791 posts
@Mrs. Pickles: Ugh, I'm trying not to even think about the recovery! It was not pretty last time, and I didn't have a toddler to chase around!
@fuzzypeaches: lol, I'm sure they've seen it all, nothing to be embarrassed about! Though I know what you mean. I cried HYSTERICALLY, I mean, really like a baby, being prepped for my spinal (before DH was allowed in the room). The nurse had to hug me. hahaha As for your neck pain, it's prob pregnancy related. I have all sorts of weird pains all over! DH got me the boppy bolster pillow thing that has a heating/cooling pad in it. It's a life saver!
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@fuzzypeaches: my neck pain was insane until I started going to chiro. Maybe try that?

@ValentineMommy: @fuzzypeaches: Y'all have me worried...

@SleepyMonkey: Thank you
@Spinny: Yay, congrats!
@ValentineMommy: All I do is eat, seriously. Ice cream tastes so.much.better when you are pregnant!

@travelgirl1: Yesterday I ate a bag of jumbo M&MS all to myself. I'm on a work trip so I'm only eating out for meals. I think I'm going to gain 15 pounds this week alone.
kiwi / 541 posts
@Mrs. Pickles: Yep i randomly puked Friday night to! I hadn't in so long I thought I was coming down with a stomach bug or something. Not fun!
@sweetooth: Not fun to lose your job right now. I own my own company and I've had a hiring freeze since Dec. This month I cut all over-time. If it doesn't turn around soon I'll have to lay some off. Not what I want to do but have no choice. I'm tied to the oil industry and it isn't doing great right now. Best of luck to you!
Anyone else experiencing muscle spasms? I'm having them in my upper left arm.
clementine / 950 posts
@ValentineMommy: LOL at least it just wasn't me! I work at that hospital sometimes and I still am so embarrassed hahaha
@QBbride: That's what I was thinking! Or maybe massage?
@travelgirl1: @Reese: Oh my goodness me too :s what started out as only bread and cheese has become non-stop desires for burritos hahahahaha
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@fuzzypeaches: I find massage provides some relief but chiro lasts way longer! I went to a great one who specializes in pregnancy in Vancouver last time, but that's probably too far for you?!
cantaloupe / 6630 posts
@Reese: @fuzzypeaches: I eat allll the food at the moment. I'm too embarrassed to list all my binges but yeah, there is no wonder my ass has grown

@sweetooth: i'm sorry to hear about the job situation. fingers crossed that you find something else soon. as for the nausea, i didn't try unisom + b6, just went straight to diclegis. as a lot of people say about these anti-nausea meds, it helps take the edge off but for me it didn't completely get rid of it. i'm still having some late afternoon nausea and am sick of it!
@cvbee: oh thank goodness. such a relief when the ultrasounds look good!
@Bluemasonjar: yay for bubbles and flutters! feeling the baby move has got to be one of my favorite parts of pregnancy.
@ValentineMommy: for what it's worth, my friend has had 3 c-sections (one of them was for twins) and she is just fine!
@turkeylurkey: my nausea is mostly under control but like you, i randomly puked last night. and peed in my pants at the same time. i'm really losing bladder control over here, waaay earlier than with the first pregnancy. it's embarrassing.
nectarine / 2705 posts
@ValentineMommy: I went for it last night. I was definitely more groggy than usual this morning but overall my usual morning routine of eating at 5:30am wasn't quite as bad. Fingers crossed this helps me! // And just grab healthy snacks when possible and know that any pounds are because you're growing a healthy baby in there!
@Mrs. Pickles: Good luck at your glucose test! I'm nervous too!
@fuzzypeaches: It really does suck. And the job market is so-so. Thing is, I'm just trying to hold on inside of the company until after my maternity leave and decide if I want to work or stay-at-home. So this kind of threw me for a loop to consider my options earlier than I wanted to. // I haven't had any neck pain, but when I used to have back pains it was a combo of hot and cold that helps. Maybe try a heating pad, or a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a towel to help soothe the pain and take a break from tylenol?
nectarine / 2705 posts
@Bluemasonjar: Oooh, a tour of the hospital! I never made it to my tour last time because our baby came early. Maybe I should schedule a tour earlier this time. I know it's the same hospital, but I would love a tour
@travelgirl1: I won't even comment on how much ice cream I have been eating this pregnancy...
@Reese: I ate an entire bag of twizzlers nibs yesterday.
@turkeylurkey: I know it's just business, head count, numbers, etc.. I wasn't let go because I wasn't doing my job. It sucks when it's like this though. I've never been on the receiving end of this. Sorry that you are on the end of having to make those tough decisions. I hope you don't have to lay off too many more people.
@cvbee: Yay for normal!
@edelweiss: Thank you And thanks for the heads up that the nausea may not go away completely. I'm just hoping for a small break. Especially in the mornings. But those evening gags and heaves suck too.
