    @QBbride: That's what I keep telling myself. We are having this baby at this time for a reason, everything has got to work out somehow! I'll let y'all know if we get the visas tomorrow.

    @travelgirl1: Oh wow. How insensitive of that doctor. Hopefully your regular doctor will get back to you and waive the upfront cost. Its good to know that you would likely be covered if you went back to England - that is good news! Please keep us posted. Fingers are crossed for you.

    @travelgirl1: wow, what a jerk! I hope your regular doctor can work things out.

    Work has eased up a bit, and it's so nice not to have to stress over it. Perfect timing, because B caught a tummy bug and had to spend two days at home. Other than the bug, we had a very good time now I have the bug though. I don't know how those of you with bad morning sickness functioned, this is awful! Pregnancy with a toddler is no joke...

    @Mama Bird: Hope you feel better soon, bugs while pregnant are awful!

    I posted this somewhere else, but I just got back from our ultrasound and the cysts in his brain have dissappeared. So relieved! Plus, my placenta previa fixed itself.

    @Mama Bird: Hoping you feel better soon!

    @simplyfelicity: So adorable! And so glad that the cysts resolved! I am getting a follow up u/s in about 3 wks to make sure my placenta moved up too and I am excited to see baby again!

    As for me, things continue to be crazy but good. The big news is we fit an offer on our house over the weekend and came to an agreement. Now we need to find a new house so DH and I have been looking this week and put an offer in today. Fingers crossed!

    As for the pregnancy, I am feeling okay but still have some low pelvic soreness and more low back pain than I remember from last time. But I am trying to at least do some pregnancy workouts 2x a week and doing something active over the weekend too. Not too bad so far.

    @MamaCate: fingers crossed the offer you put in is accepted! Would you move before or after baby comes?

  17. MamaCate

    @QBbride: Before! Hoping for a simultaneous close on selling/buying and moving around 32 weeks. My in laws are a few hours away and planning to come down and do most of the heavy lifting with DH for the actual move. Thanks for the good wishes!

    @QBbride: We took another trip to the border yesterday and this time we both got work permits! Yay! So at least we now have legal immigration status. I will go to the OHIP office on Monday and I think the three month waiting period starts from the date on the work permit, so I should get OHIP again on my due date of July 10. I have an ultrasound on April 20 to check on the płacenta previa, which will give us an indication on whether there is any chance in making it as far as my due date. A friend totally made me cry and calm down yesterday when she sat with me and very calmly told me to trust in my baby, if it is the right thing for the baby that the placenta moves, then it will. If it doesn't, maybe there are reasons the baby needs to come early. But she was saying to trust that everything will work out, and I'm really trying to.
    I guess now we have work permits again, it is more sensible to stay in Canada and take the risk of paying for the birth because at least DH has a job here and we could pay off a hospital bill. If we go home we will have to pack up and move when I am heavily pregnant and he could be unemployed for some time, plus the costs of moving and flights would run into thousands, maybe even as much as paying for the birth.
    So, we are still trying to work it out but at least something is going our way now

  25. travelgirl1

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

    @simplyfelicity: We are! We still have other things we need to happen but this gives us options and eventual healthcare. We really need the previa to have moved now. So happy yours has!

  26. QBbride

    pomegranate / 3192 posts

    @travelgirl1: was yours a partial or complete previa? I know someone who had a complete previa and it magically moved at 36 weeks!! So you never know!!

  27. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @travelgirl1: Mine started out as partial, moved a bit and now there is plenty of, ummm, clearance? How severe is yours? Did you have it with your daughter?

  28. travelgirl1

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

    @QBbride: @simplyfelicity: I'm not sure, my doctor wasn't very specific but I'm going to email her on Monday and ask her that question. I didn't have it with A, but she was breech, so I guess my kids just don't want to come out the vag, lol. If it doesn't move I guess I just have to pray it doesn't bleed and I get the chance to make it to my due date!

    @simplyfelicity: Oh, I have placenta previa too, then! I didn't know that's what it's called. I have another ultrasound at 32 weeks to see if it moved. It only needs to move about 2 mm, so fingers crossed!

    @simplyfelicity: that is great!

    @travelgirl1: so you get to stay?!

    100 days to go for me!

  31. travelgirl1

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

    @TheSwissWifeStyle: We have the option to stay legally now I think we are 75% sure we will stay, it depends on the results of the ultrasound now and whether there is any chance we can make it to full term and not have to pay. Although honestly, the thought of packing up our lives and moving countries heavily pregnant is so unappealing.

    I went to L&D last night because baby boy's movement have seemed less regular the past couple of days. I tried doing the juice test with no luck. They hooked me up and everything is fine. In fact, they said his heartbeat is really advanced for his age-- I cannot remember the technical term but he can "recover" really quickly. Said it was closer to that of a 36 week old. Made me feel better. He was just being stubborn. The nurses were so, so nice and said I did the right thing by coming in. Then, they gave us a little personal tour of L&D which was pretty cool.

    pomegranate / 3595 posts

    @simplyfelicity: ooh what a scare! So glad everything is okay. I think it is worth getting checked out for peace of mind so I am glad the nurses validated your decision. Hope baby boy is more cooperative the next few days so you can relax!

    @travelgirl1: belatedly, so glad you now have a choice and can make a plan that will be best for you, without a crystal ball. hoping that baby cooperates and things work out as they should!

    @QBbride: also, to update on the house: our first offer got rejected for a variety of reasons so we put another one in yesterday. fingers crossed for us! we also have a solid option #3 that I feel confident we can get and make work for us if this one doesn't work out either.

    @simplyfelicity: oh my gosh - how scary! I went through that with DS1. I swear, these boys like to freak mom out, even as little guys lol. So cool you got a tour though! Glad everything is ok!

    @MamaCate: FX!!

    AFM: I swear this baby is so low that he's going to fall out. I feel kicks in my lady bits all the time! It's so uncomfortable!!! I've been trying to (unsuccessfully) wean off my nausea meds, and immediately get sick the next day still AND pregnancy insomnia is starting to set in. I can fall asleep just fine, but wake up all the time and can't fall back asleep. It's so annoying!

    @Reese: it goes back in, but sadly it's never the same... I now know they have belly button rejuvenation procedures Hahahaha

    @travelgirl1: oh that's amazing!!!! My DH had such immigration issues (from us) and it's such a roller coaster - best news ever! Did they give you a quote on how much it will cost If ohip won't cover in time??

    @QBbride: how's the move? Are you guys completely out?? So exciting!

    @simplyfelicity: good news (and such a scare!!) what did you think of the l and d?? So glad everything is ok!

    @ValentineMommy: ugh me too. Still waking up so much and still nauseous often :s sadly it does not seek to be carrying the benefit of less weight gain hahaha

    @MamaCate: so many people moving! Good luck on the offer!! When do you think you will hear back?

    I'm chilling at my glucose test today - so bored and hungry (wanted me to fast and won't let me walk around) at least there's good people watching!

    I realized that the baby could come in less than 8 weeks if she is an early bird like DS! Omg I can't even think about it, we have done nothing to prepare at all. I started cleaning out closets so hopefully my nesting is setting in so that I actually have somewhere to put the little one and have some clothes for her to wear! lol

    Anyone having any predictions about birth dates vs due dates yet? As much as I'm freaking out, this baby feels more "secure" than DS and I feel like I'll make it to July 1st! Dh's guess is June 10 lol. (Edd july 8)

    @simplyfelicity: glad everything is ok!
    @ValentineMommy: I pretty much never sleep so I'm right there with you! My pelvis hurts so badly that I wake up every time I change positions.
    At least it's reminding us how newborn sleep is
