Geez oh man, I'm still at work finishing done stuff up and caught a glimpse of my reflection. I look super pregnant today (IMO). Probably because I'm wearing a (crappy) maternity shirt. Craziness!

@78h2o: I think you look super cute! I want a bump that looks more pregnant than fat (I feel like I'm still at the awkward stage where you couldn't say for sure).

@78h2o: You look great!!
I showed DH my stomach tonight and he thought it looked the same.

@78h2o: I'm glad you chimed in about the pp sex. I tried to write something that didn't sound totally "just wait" yesterday but everything I tried sounded harsh. I wish DH and I had known not having sex for 6 (or 10) months was a possibility.

@78h2o your bump is so cute!
I'm at the awkward stage too where I just look bloated or like my clothes are too small. I can't wait to rock my bump!

@78h2o: You look super cute!
I think I looked super preggers yesterday because everyone kept commenting how I finally started getting a bump. Sorry no pics though. Today I don't look pregnant, lol.

You know, I think I'm starting to feel twinges! Not kicks or anything, but I'm definitely noticing some "feelings" in my tummy. Now granted, it might just be gas bubbles or something, but idk I think it might be a little bit of movement!

@MrsBrewer: I felt three quick jabs on Monday!
@78h2o: Cute bump. I hope you're feeling better!
I went into the office for the first time yesterday, and the whole office was commenting on my bump. Some even asked what I'm having :shocked:! You can totally tell!

@LindsayInNY: I really should have taken it yesterday since I dressed up for our Christmas party! Today is sweats and wild hair!
bananas / 9229 posts
@dc yoga bee: I'm in sweats and not-so-wild hair cause I'm volunteering tonight!

Sorry, I was trying to post at work I wanted to stop lurking and introduce myself. My EDD is June 16th, and this is my second child. I have a three year old son. I have started feeling a little better this week and hopefully this continues!

@MrsBrewer: Awesome! I think that I feel this guy way more than LO. I haven't had lunch yet, so I think he's moving a lot to get me to eat. I sat down yesterday and swore I felt him flip like his big brother did.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@LindsayInNY: I think we are going out to eat tonight (I'm down to being sick only once a day, so I want to try to go to a restaurant) so I'll take a pic tonight if we go!
@cascademom: that's so cool!!!
@glitterboots: welcome!! So glad you're feeling better!

@dc yoga bee: Once your LO flips, you'll know it. It's the weirdest feeling. This guy I'm pretty sure I feel more because of placenta placement. LO kicked on the outside for the first time when the doctor did the doppler with me. It was awesome.

I feel like I'm in the "has she gained weight, or is she pregnant" limbo too. I do feel like I'm starting to get a little bump, but I feel like my uterus is just pushing all my chubby-ness up making a bump. HA!!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@cascademom: At our 12 week appointment, the baby we could see the baby flipping! I can't wait to feel it!
coconut / 8854 posts
@MamaB: It's pushing up my chubbiness too!! LOL I have a pretty round bump right now that I'm rocking
bananas / 9229 posts
I feel like I just look like I've gained some weight. Last night DH said I didn't look any different.
This "every 4 week" appointment business is gonna kill me. For some reason, as we get close to our next appointment, I get all worried. Like now I worry because I'm still symptom-less, not showing, etc. I need to stop with this nonsense though.
coconut / 8861 posts
@LindsayInNY: I was like that with LO. Same with this one. I'm so excited for my 15 minutes with my OB on Monday!
coconut / 8854 posts
@LindsayInNY: Yes I know what you mean! Then after the appt it's like okay, now I have to wait another whole month?!
bananas / 9229 posts
@cascademom: I have my NT scan on Wednesday with DH coming and then my next OB appointment on Friday. I scheduled it for the end of the day but we're having a team holiday lunch from 12:30-2:30 so I moved the appointment earlier since we all just go home after. Turns out it's my OB at the early appointment which is cool! If she weren't so great, I would maybe consider a midwife but I can't possibly now!

@MrsBrewer: I do okay for awhile but the last week is torture! I figure it'll get easier once I'm showing/looking more pregnant. Right now I really don't.
grapefruit / 4355 posts
@MrsBrewer: I've thought I felt a few twinges too (like you said, they don't feel like kicks really or anything)! But whenever I pause to try to feel it again, I don't feel anything. And since I'm only 13.5 weeks, I don't trust myself and just write it off as me wanting to feel the baby really badly.
@glitterboots: Welcome!

Had a check-up today and got to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time! It's really cool. DH being all suave said it sounded like the subway. I so far at 14w1d have gained about 7 lbs., which seems like a lot, but I did consume a lot of lasagne and brownies yesterday, which probably made up about 2 lbs. lol.
apricot / 363 posts
@Eko: Yay on hearing the heartbeat! I feel like I have gained more than 7 pounds but I haven't officially weighed since last doctors appointment.
How is everyone feeling? I have been getting horrible day long headaches! I never got frequent headaches before pregnancy but these are almost everyday and they last all day and sometimes through the night. I'm trying to increase my fluids, rest, etc. but it's really hard!
I also feel like I've officially popped! 13 weeks tomorrow!

@Eko: yay!!! I love going and hearing the heartbeat!!
@rpparker: love that cute little belly starting!!!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@rpparker: cute bump!! I've been getting those headaches too, and never had them before pregnancy. I've found the more water I drink, the less my head hurts! So, I'm trying to force myself to guzzle water. I don't have an appetite, but eating also helps with my headache.
So, Friday was 15 weeks, and Thursday was the last time I had morning sickness, and I haven't needed Zofran. I also was able to eat cheesecake on Saturday! Maybe I'm on the up and up. I just need to get my appetite back. Energy is still hit or miss.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@rpparker: I was getting a lot of headaches as well. working out was helping, but on the days where it hurt a lot I was drinking coffee. Pre-pregnancy excedrin really helped me, partially because it contained caffeine, so now I just drink coffee for the caffeine and it helps me. I don't know if you are comfortable doing that, but they do say you can drink about a cup a day and be fine. I personally am more comfortable if I need relief to do that then take tylenol.
bananas / 9229 posts
So, no belly band today. Wearing slightly more comfy pants so hopefully I don't regret that decision. I've been fluctuating with a 0-2 lb. gain and trying not to worry myself.
apricot / 363 posts
@Eko: Thanks! I've been drinking my one cup of coffee a day and took a Tylenol this morning. I hated having to take something but it has helped some. If I was going 100% without caffeine I wouldn't be able to make it!
@dc yoga bee: I have got to get better about drinking water! I'm glad it sounds like you are over the worse part of your sickness.
grapefruit / 4355 posts
@rpparker: I was definitely having headaches too (but they were much more frequent a month or so ago than they are now at 14 weeks). Not fun. You have a really cute bump though!
@dc yoga bee: Glad to hear you're starting to feel better!
I feel like I have been super thirsty lately. Like I chugged a water bottle full of ice water the other night before bed because I was so thirsty. And my boobs itch like crazy (I think they are growing more - ugh)! But at least constipation seems to have gone away (yay!).
I had this really dull, cramp-like ache super low in my pelvic region yesterday (like completely below the little bit of bump I have so far, from the top of my underwear down). It didn't really hurt, just felt kind of weird. But it is gone today.
coconut / 8854 posts
@Mrs.KMM: Yes to the itchy boobs! Although, I think I have some sort of weird rash, like just next to my nipple Midwife said to put some hydro cortisone cream on it
nectarine / 2148 posts
@Mrs.KMM: Yes to the thirst! I have been consuming so much water, it is ridiculous how much I am running to the bathroom. I have become a mad woman about using lotion, so I have luckily avoided any itchiness so far. I personally haven't had any cramping like you have described, but glad it's gone away! Maybe dehydration of some kind?
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@MrsBrewer: I have bad eczema that I finally got under control a couple of years ago. Well, it's back, and on my breasts. I never had it on my breast previously. I'm doing my standard oatmeal and banana ointments.
coconut / 8854 posts
@dc yoga bee: oh no! I don't think I had/have eczema? I guess I'm not sure though honestly. I had my midwife look at it, and she doesn't seem too concerned. If it gets any worse though, I will press the issue a little more!
coconut / 8861 posts
I had my 16 week appointment today. Baby munchkin was kicking away. The doctor could feel it on the Doppler even. My doctor is moving to Africa. I'll see her until April, then will switch to a different doctor in my practice. I'm deciding between the one that delivered LO and another one I got along with during my last pregnancy.

Our panorama results came back yesterday and everything was low risk! Yay!
In addition, we learned that both DH and I apparently have crappy parental instincts because despite the fact that we were both convinced it was a boy, we are having a little girl!
