So I'm about 6 weeks into my pregnancy and have lost my appetite. I've been nauseous and just looking at food makes me want to vomit. During my last pregnancy I all I wanted to do was eat. Has anyone had this happen? When did it go away.

I had very little appetite until my morning sickness went away, around 18 weeks...sorry that's not very encouraging!

My appetite came back and my MS went away around 15 weeks. It was survival mode till then.

@swedishfish Oh Geez, was there anything that you found you could eat during that time? I've been mostly eating rice and a few other "light foods" here and there.

@SnowLion: i didn't have much appetite in the first tri but found that eating little bland things helped me hold it together. i barely ever threw up but just felt off. i munched on a lot of goldfish crackers, saltines, popcorn, those kinds of bland salty things. I started feeling better around 12 weeks. Hope the roughest part is nearly over for you!

@SnowLion: I ate a lot of saltines, French fries and...oddly enough...cinnamon rolls. I was able to eat a healthy lunch though everyday.

I did, and it never really came back. I was pretty much only able to eat peanut butter sandwiches most of my pregnancy.

@mamacate I'm pretty much eating the same things and rice. Lots of rice. I may never want to see rice again.
@swedishfish I would never guess cinnamon rolls. The though of anything with sugar makes my stomach turn right now. My husband brought me salted caramels (my weakness) and I wanted to puke. He took one look at me and said "if I had any doubt that you were pregnant it has been removed."

@SnowLion: For me it was second tri, strangely. I ate anything and everything bland...often low sodium cream of mushroom soup with just a little bit of rice, such a strange meal! But I also ate tons of clementines. When nothing else worked, fruit helped.

I also lost much of my appetite during the 1st tri, but it came back around 12-13 weeks.
