My hubby and bro are 2 years apart and have a really great relationship. I think it would be nice to have boys and see the brother relationship unfold...
I also ask because I see people get really excited about a girl having a sister, and wonder if boy momma's felt the same way?

If we have a second I'd really like for DS to have a brother.
Although DH has a brother and they have a good relationship but they aren't that close, he is much closer to his sister.

I do think it would be great for DS to have a brother. For a long time I said I hoped #2 was a boy so DS could have a little brother to grow up with. But now I'm pregnant and I so badly want to have a daughter. We will most likely be done after this one, so I will feel disappointed if I don't have a girl. I think brothers and sisters can be close to each other.

If we have another LO I'd really like a girl, but I wouldn't be at all disappointed if it were another boy. Our four McK nephews are two sets of brothers and it's so great to see them together, and I'd be thrilled if E got that too. I mostly want a girl for me, ha!

Yes, definitely. Baby 2 is a little girl but we'd like a couple more so maybe we'll have another boy down the road for DS. I think it's more important for boys to have brothers to play with then girls to have sisters -- but that's just what I've noted in my limited experience.

My 1st is a boy and I'm pregnant with another boy. I am so excited to give him a brother and I can't wait to see them be best friends. Well, that is my hope. DH has two brothers and they grew up as best friends.

I don't care too much about the genders, I just want them to be close in age. DS already has 3 boy cousins lined up (all 4 yrs and younger), so it may be time for a little girl in the family!

I love the idea of same sex siblings and giving DS a brother someday, but I also love the idea of giving him a little sister to be protective and sweet over There's a bee who I follow on IG who has a toddler boy and newborn girl and I think it's the sweetest thing seeing them together

I would LOVE for A to have a lil brother. He's such a guys' guy, I think he would really enjoy it. DH really wants A to have a brother too.
We're a maybe 3 family, so I could still get my girl and A could still have a bro too!

I am pregnant with DS #2 and I am really excited to give DS #1 a brother (21 months apart). If we go for a 3rd, I would want a girl...but I LOVE my boys!

Yes. I have one of each but when I was pregnant with DD I half wished she was a boy as I really do want my son to have a brother. I want one more and am leaning slightly to wanting another boy (though my daughter is the sweetest cuddliest little thing and part of me wants that again for a last baby if thats how girls are) I read an article about how men have a harder time making and retaining friendships as they age vs woman (a lot has to do with the stigma of males paling around unless they are in a band or a sports team which is so sad) and truthfully my own DH has a hard time spending time with the boys though he has a close relationship with his brother and BIL so for me that makes me want to have another boy so my son always has someone. Im an only child and a girl and I have always managed to make friends so I guess I feel my daughter might not need a sister (my son might not eithet depending) to make friends whereas if my son is like my DH maybe he will?

I just want him to have a sibling, I don't care about the gender! I think the protective older brother to a sister can be just as good. DH doesn't get along with his brother, so he doesn't care to have anymore kids, period. But I think our son will change his mind as he gets older and we will have one more. I have brothers and a sister and have good relationships with both. I wouldn't mind another boy though, if only to not have to buy new clothes and stuff!!

Well DS is going to have a brother soon and I'm very excited for them to grow up together! I didn't feel very strongly that he needed a brother before we found out but now I'm so happy that we're going to have two boys rather than one of each. It seems like it might be more fun for them and easier for us.

Once LO2 arrives any day now, DS will have a brother. They will be a year and a half apart and I can't wait. I think it will be awesome for them to grow up together. Were still planning to have more kids too so hopefully my boys will experience having a sister too eventually!

I always thought I would definitely want a girl since our first is a boy but now that I'm pregnant I honestly don't have a preference. I'd be thrilled if DS had a brother like DH does but I think having a little girl would be amazing too.

I LOVE having two boys. They play really well together and I hope for them that they will become lifelong friends. I would still like a girl but I am really happy that they have each other.

I would love for my son to have a brother!!! I think different gendered siblings can have close relationships too but I do think there's a special bond when they're the same. I'd ideally like another boy and another girl so that both of my kids can experience that.

We plan on trying for #2 next year so they can grow up close together and I really do want DS to have a brother I think DH wants that too but we both would be ok with a girl. We're stopping at 2

I'd really like being a boy mama and it'd be great if the potential #2 would be a boy as well BUT honestly the most important thing is that baby is healthy.

I definitely find myself hoping future #2 will be a boy so LO will have a brother, but I also know I will be delighted either way!
