I like to listen to my music loud in the car and would get a strong reaction from LO for certain bands, lol
I would also get a reaction from going to concerts. DH works in the music industry and I spent a lot of time backstage. I'm thinking one day I can tell DS how Eddie Vedder got to meet him while he was in utero but he probably won't think that's very cool, haha

I haven’t but I keep wanting to! The problem is that we don’t have actual headphones..we only have earbuds. Is it weird that I’ve contemplated sticking one of the buds into my belly button???!! HA. My belly button is still not super shallow so I think I could pull it off

I haven't until today, but I totally set my phone on my belly and he has been going berserk for certain songs...it is so funny to watch my belly move! i can't tell if he likes it or not though. he does move a ton when i eat...so maybe he likes it?

@Running Elley: same here, I don't have ear phones. I do put my iphone on my belly. She likes the 90s- early 00s just like her momma

I had a Ritmo Pregnancy Belt that I used. I really liked it and DS always seemed to love the music. They only had the original when I was pregnant so I don't know what the difference is in the two options now. I like that the speakers pop out and can still be used after baby is born.

I did (specifically using headphones) until I read somewhere (not sure where? a parenting magazine I think?) that because the sound is amplified by the amniotic fluid that putting headphones on your belly is actually too loud for the baby. After that I just played music (a bit on the loud side) on my laptop. McBebe still starts dancing when I do (or what I imagine as dancing, lol) so I'm sure it's still loud enough for him/her to hear.

Just loud in the car, he really responded to certain bands. I've always wondered if it was something that I unknowingly did when certain songs came on and he responded to that?

Ya I also read that about the amplification being a harmful side effect so I just play it near my stomach!
