Henry Chad (daddy's name for his middle name) arrived fast and furious at 4:34am. We left home just after 3am when my brother arrived to watch big sister. I was 6cm when we arrived and he was there in an hour! Compared to my 18 hr labor for sister it was a whirlwind! That labor on Sunday must have helped. Oh and he's a giant - 9lb 13oz and almost 23".
We are in love and can't wait to have our family of 4 together!

It's a GIRL!!
Contractions started at 9:30pm last night and I was really confused because they were immediately 2 minutes apart from the start. I thought it was a fluke, just a few back-to-back contractions that would slow and pace themselves. Boy was I wrong. I couldn't talk through them almost right away. DH somehow managed to pack DD1's bag and the dog's stuff and call my parents to come over and let the hospital know we were on our way. My water broke in the car (what a mess!) and immediately I felt the urge to push and the pain was unbelievable. This was at 11:30pm. We somehow arrived at the hospital shortly after and the baby was already crowning. Eight minutes of pushing and she shot out into the world at 11:57pm. Managed to scrape by with only a second degree tear and obviously no epidural. I'm still in shock. Things went from completely normal to a baby shooting out of my hoohah in 2.5 hours.
DD2 is 7 lbs 11oz and so far a pretty sleepy munchkin. She loves to sleep as much as her Daddy! We have to keep stripping her down to get her to nurse. DD1 is coming by today to meet her Little Sister.
