Baby boy J arrived yesterday morning at 7:29. 7 lbs, 20.5 inches.

Getting induced I was afraid I'd have a long labor/not be able to go natural/need a cesarean... But thankfully none of that happened. We got to the hospital and I wasn't dialated at all. they started pitocin around 4:30. I was 4cm at 6:30, 9cm at 7, and delivered at 7:30. Crazy!

We'll be in the hospital till tomorrow, although I was surprised when my dr told me if I really wanted I could leave later today! But overall things have been really good.

It did take J most of yesterday till he was able to latch on. But since then I've gotten him to eat a few more times. I think I'm realizing that he'll only eat when he wants to and otherwise he just isn't interested.

Admitted to L&D! IV started! I will keep you all posted the best I can!

Baby Oliver Jacob arrived tonight at 8:45pm EST. He weighed in at 8 pounds even! He was 21.5 inches long!
His birth went much faster then we thought it would. My birth was half medicated. My epidural was not taking on the left side of my body. I went from 6/7 cm to 10 very rapidly. I felt so much pressure I begged to push. The nurse was insistent I wait for the doctor. The doctor came in and caught him. I have one very minimal tear no stitches required. (Hooray). My parents helped me through most of the labor and delivery process. My DH stayed with our boys in the next room. DH and my boys don't do blood very well. Once O was born DH came in and cut O's cord. Once I was cleaned up the older boys got to meet their new little brother. They are in love.

@MrsRcCar: congrats! I can't believe they sent you away at 5 cm, that'd be so frustrating and painful!

I've been quietly rooting you all on. Welcome to all of the new babies.

Any new babes?!

No news over here either. Hanging out at 39 weeks and at Monday's appointment I was still 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced (no change from the 37 week appointment). I've enjoyed the week off work getting lots done like sterilizing bottles, making freezer meals, and visiting Ikea on a non-weekend day. However, I woke up pretty swollen this morning (hands and feet) so I'm finally getting to the point where I'm fine with this baby coming any day now. With my pregnancy with DS, he was a week old already by now (born right at 38 weeks). I'm trying to remind myself that they are easier to care for on the inside rather than the outside!

@mfa_lady: Thinking of you too! Hopefully it's not too much longer.

@Shantuck: Was just thinking about you! Look at us, bringing up the rear. Ha! I hope your BP levels out and isn't anything to worry about.

I'm still over here waiting on baby girl...40+2 today and no sign of any action. I've had probably 15 noticeable contractions over the course of the last week, lol, and though noticeable not one has been painful. More like BH. So, who knows. My water broke out of nowhere with DD1 and was fast and furious after that, so I'm hoping for something similar with this one. Since we've made it this far, I'd love to avoid a 10/31 birthday, so at this point I'm wishing for a delivery at about 12:01 tonight. Haha! A girl can dream, right?

@Shantuck: sorry your BP is on the rise. Mine was high for weeks 37-38 but went down at 39. I hope yours is back down in a few days. You're doing great on the dilation front though!!

@mfa_lady: I've been hanging out on the November boards but my updated EDD was yesterday (Nov 6 originally). I've been hoping this whole time to have a Halloween baby and I keep praying my water breaks today! Doesn't look like it's going to happen. Good luck to you in the next few days, I'm sure it's just around the corner for us.

@mfa_lady: people think I'm strange for wanting a Halloween birthday for baby but I just love this holiday. Best wishes to you for a smooth delivery. I'll keep stalking!

She's here! Baby A was born at 1:27 this morning after quite the wild two-hour labor. More details later!
