@Apex: SERIOUSLY. I am still on it at 13 weeks. Just watch, that stuff can make you constipated, so arm yourself with much water, fiber, and many prunes. Even that sometimes can't stand up to the mighty power of Zofran, but the ani-nausea-ness is worth it.

So, I have two big milestones to share:
    1. I'm 13 weeks today, so SECOND TRI!!! Eek

    2. I had some sudden cramping this afternoon, and I didn't freak!! This is a big deal, because I freak All. The. Time. But, I didn't! I called the nurse, she told me to push fluids, and if I thought it might be a UTI that I could come in and give a sample. My NT is tomorrow, so I may do it then. Otherwise, I have an appointment on Monday, so I could do it then as well. We'll see. For now, I'm just so excited to genuinely not feel freaked out-yay!

@LovelyPlum: so glad to know there is hope to one day not freak out at every little stomach twinge! Congrats to you for getting to that point and the 2nd trimester!

I am 6W2D with my third pregnancy this year. The other two were lost at 7 and 6 weeks. I don't always freak out because I now expect the worst. I did have a glimmer of optimism yesterday when I realized that though my chances of a miscarriage are now greater than the average person, the chance or the pregnancy sticking are actually still greater than not. I need to keep reminding myself of this. I have had two ultrasounds which looked normal and my bloodwork is all good. I am taking progesterone, baby aspirin and seeing an acupuncturist. I am hoping one or all of these make a difference and that we will see a heartbeat next Monday!

@LovelyPlum: Yea for second trimester! And in a few weeks you'll feel kicks. That's when I really started feeling more calm.

@Thenetexan: Sending you good sticky luck! Hopefully, third times the charm.

@Thenetexan: thank you. Congratulations to you, too! I'm so sorry for your losses, but I am super hopeful for you that this is your third time's the charm baby I'm excited for your u/s and for you to see the heartbeat!! Hang in there lady-we're all here for each other

@Grace: thanks I seriously can't wait for feeling kicks. I think I *maaay* have felt a little flutter or two, but I really want to feel a good kick!

So my NT was today...sort of. I had my u/s, and baby is measuring perfectly at 13+1, which is right where I am! We heard a heartbeat, which is an amazing sound, and baby is ALL LEGS, just like DH and my dad. But, the silly little thing decided to spend the entire scan either doing headstands or turning away from us, so we couldn't get the measurements for the actual NT part. So, I am going back on Monday for that. Bonus: I get to see the little plum again! So exciting!

    Hope you're all well.

I'm feeling good! I'm currently 35w5d and surviving week 4 of one more home renovation before the baby comes. I'd really like to be setting up the baby room, but I'm trying to trust that it will all come together as it should. And it's not the end of the world if the nursery isn't set up

@spaniellove: ugh nausea! I hope you can get some relief soon!

@LovelyPlum: How's the second trimester treating you? It's when I felt my absolute best!

@Thenetexan: I hope you are doing well. Sorry for your losses this year. I hope that by now you have seen your baby's heartbeat

@Apex: How are you and the quads? Are you still taking Zofran? I'd echo @LovelyPlum's advice about treating the potential constipation. That was probably my one BIGGEST complaint about that medicine. Not sure the relief from nausea was worth the constipation I experienced.

@kentuckygirl: Hope you are doing well! So happy to see you on this thread!

@spaniellove: I am like @Mrs.Someone in that I couldn't help but smile when I saw your MS thread. Hope that doesn't make me a bad person!

So much activity on here! I love it!

I am 24.5 weeks. We have another growth scan tomorrow to make sure this pesky placenta isn't causing any problems. Our last one two weeks ago was great. Going to buy nursery furniture this weekend (giggle is having a 20% off everything sale if anyone is interested, including strollers and furniture).

@mrsmate: so close! I'm sorry you're feeling poorly, though.

@spaniellove: ugh, m/s is the absolute worst. But I'm glad that baby is sticking around!! I hope that you can find some relief.

    @lilteacherbee: eek, so soon!

    @Jennimac: congrats on little MM!

@sweetooth: you've got much more patience than I do for going through those renovations! Congrats on being so close, though. And you've got a great attitude about the nursery. You're right, it will all come together!

@raintreebee: that is so fantastic that baby is doing well. I hope tomorrow is great as well. Enjoy the furniture! What kind are you getting?

As for me...I am 17 weeks tomorrow, and I am slowly, slowly getting to that elusive, magical 2nd tri feeling. I've had some complications due to low blood pressure lately. I had an EKG and an echo on Friday, and I have to go to a cardiologist tomorrow. My doctor is sure that it's nothing major, but they are being cautious, which I appreciate. 2nd tri has also brought migraines, but fortunately, I've been able to keep them under control. And I've gone a whole week of only needing Zofran twice....YAY!!! I'm still completely wiped out at the end of the day, but I was able to travel to my cousin's wedding this weekend and feel good almost the whole time. 18 week anomaly scan on 11/11...things are getting real!!!

  21. raintreebee

    pear / 1531 posts

@LovelyPlum: Aww, I am sorry for your complications but it sounds like you are in good hands. And I am glad you are feeling a bit better. Yes, things are about to get very real! In a few more weeks, your growing belly will be a constant reminder!
We are going with Oeuf furniture. I have a lot of friends that are happy with that brand. Expensive, but we are hoping that the toddler bed lasts a long time.

  22. LovelyPlum

    eggplant / 11408 posts

@raintreebee: thanks. I am in good hands, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Sounds like you're in good hands, too, which is great. And that Oeuf furniture is gorgeous. You are going to have one pretty nursery!

ETA: I just realized that you have hit viability. Congrats!!!

@sweetooth: yes, I did see and hear the heartbeat at 7 weeks and then again at 9W 3D. Everything is tracking well. I hope to get the genetic blood test results early next week and then hopefully be able to relax a bit. I felt good after seeing the heartbeat at 7W, but was losing confidence when i went in for my bloodwork, so they did another ultrasound. I have an OB appt next Monday and then the NT scan the following Monday, so that will hopefully give me more confidence too! When I was pregnant with my LO, I declined all extra ultrasounds and wanted as little intervention/ disruption to him in the womb ad possible. How things have changed!

  24. Apex

    clementine / 770 posts

@sweetooth: Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, i lost baby 4 a couple weeks ago. And at that time, it was no big deal, it was somewhat of a relief.

However, after my nuchal scan last week, My Perinatologist discovered a huge fibroid that officially makes it impossible to carry all remaining 3 babies successfully. So i have to reduce one for my own safety and the safety of any/all my babies. Officially, this is the hardest, saddest news i've ever received in my whole life. I could'nt stop crying at the doctor's office because at this point, its reduce 1 or loose all (plus possibly my own life/ability to ever have kids)

Its been really hard having to process this new information and i've been struggling with it all week. i know i should be happy and grateful that i have a chance to carry the remaining 2 babies to term, but i can't help but fell so much pain and anguish for the baby i have to say goodbye to. So sorry i had to unburden here in the midst of all the good news. I love you guys tho, and will keep you updated as we go.

@marionberry: this is LO2 and I swear I'm already bigger than I was at full term with #1. I thought I was supposed to already be "all stretched out"? That's what the nurse at my HSG told me

@Apex: I'm so sorry, I can't even imagine what that must be like. I hope the 2 babies will give you an easy time of it the rest of your pregnancy.

@raintreebee: good luck at your appt tomorrow! And nice choice with the oeuf furniture

@LovelyPlum: I may come off like I have it all under control, but I'm kinda losing it with each passing week. Our contractors are great, but renovations are stressful! I'm glad to hear your doctors are being cautious. Hope things go well with the cardiologist tomorrow.

@Thenetexan: It is nice to have that extra reassurance with added ultrasounds. I'm glad you have heard the heartbeat

@lilteacherbee: Good luck on your c-section! Mine was a breeze! Nightgowns are a must!

@spaniellove: I was going to message you to join. So glad you did! Feel better...

@sweetooth: I can't believe you're almost there already! It seems like you just found out you were pregnant.how exciting!

@raintreebee: I'm so glad all is going well!

@LovelyPlum: I'm sorry about the complications but it sounds like your dr has them under control.

@Thenetexan: Do whatever makes you feel most comfortable! If it helps relieve stress than great!

@apex: I just can't imagine the pain of that choice! My heart goes out to you and I hope you can find peace. I agree about asking for a second opinion. Is there nothing they can do to get rid of the fibroid in utero?

@mrsmate: I wish it worked that way! I'm sure I'll be bigger with my next too.

AFM all I can say is sleep and spend time with your SO now because parenthood is exhausting. However I wouldn't change it for the world. I feel like half my heart is cuddling on my lap right now. I looked at him and cried a few days ago just thinking about our struggle with IF and the miracle we have been blessed with.

Thank you ladies so much for all your support. i did get a second opinion, but that was pretty much a waste of time. I also asked about getting the fibroid removed, but that was also a no go. The safest time it can and would be removed would be when i have the babies.

I'm finally coming to terms with the impending loss. I know everything would be fine at the end, and for once i'm actually somewhat glad i didn't really tell people how many babies we were expecting.

DH says he's on board with trying for 1 more after this, just to kinda make up for this loss. It made me laugh to hear him say that, but i guess a part of him understands more than i gave him credit for.

Thanks again guys, you're simply the best!

@Apex: Hugs - hope you're still making your way through all of this. That's really sweet that your husband already spoke of trying for 1 more
