I need help from the hive!
My sleep is horrific. It was horrific with DD and I never remember it improving. As that was my first pregnancy I wasnt extra exhausted from chasing around a toddler, being interrupted in the middle of the night by a toddler and just generally able to rest more during the day/weekends. This time, with LO#2 I am dying. Literally laid my head down at work yesterday and fell asleep. It is awful.
Basically - I lay down at 9pm and am able to fall asleep quickly. From then - I toss and turn and just cant get comfortable. I am a tummy sleeper which has recently (14w) become uncomfortable. Within 2 hrs I then have to pee - afterwards I have a tough time falling back to sleep. When I do - I toss and turn and am usually up repeating this pattern every 1.5-2 hours throughout the night.
I am buying a maternity pillow today on amazon (the U Shaped one) - I bought one last time (the schnoodle maybe) and it just never was great mostly because I had to move it with me when I tosses and turned over.
I am wondering if any bees took any medication to sleep and if it helped? I dont remember my Dr offering any sleep meds as an option with DD so I am sure that wont change. Just wondering what other bees have been informed is safe? Or what methods/tips/tricks worked for getting some zzz's?
I'm not looking for a blissful 8 hrs - but I really feel with 1.5-2 hrs at a time I am never getting into good deep sleep which cannot be good for me or the baby!
