@keiki_mama mentioned that a pregnancy support belt really helped alleviate some of her hip pain/pressure with her first pregnancy.
I'm wondering if anyone has some recos for belts?
I have chronic hip pain and they are definitely exacerbated during pregnancy. Would like to start researching them now in preparation!

I wore an SI belt (which was more for my back/hips than belly), and it helped a fair amount. I just got it at Shoppers drug mart, recommended by my chiropractor.

I used one too for both my pregnancies. I was working as a nurse at the time so constantly on my feet, walking and standing. My back killed me. It did help a lot. I think I just got one from babies r us.

I wonder if insurance will reimburse for this if I got a "prescription" from my OB or purchased from a medical supply store?

@spaniellove: It looks heavenly (i'm being serious). My pain is the worst when i stand up from sitting position.

@Freckles: There's the pain in the back of the pelvis...and then there's the pain in the bony part of your crotch too! And when you can get either one to pop it feels so much better. I've gotten used to sitting on a bench to dress and undress.

I ended up getting the same one @BabyBoecksMom: . It's only the first day but so far it seems to be helping! I woke up with the start of some hip discomfort. It seems to be gone and hasn't gotten worse yet.
