haha -- well, not really a phenomenon, but I have been OBSESSED with having a bagel with lots of whipped cream cheese on it every morning and just this last week I was talking to 3 of my girlfriends who are either pregnant, or just had babies and they too, all loved whipped cream cheese while pregnant!
I just think it's funny --- anyone else lovin' their morning bagel & cream cheese?

But I bought a bag of day-old bagels, kept them in our office fridge and bought whipped cream cheese from Panera and had that toasted every AM!

I lived off of bagels and lots of cream cheese when I was pregnant (regular cream cheese) but I went through so many bagels - mostly plain and blueberry but it had to be toasted with lots of cream cheese. I continued eating bagels after giving birth for a few weeks but switched to toasted with butter and after a month or so I don't have any craving for bagels and cream cheese. Now I eat an egg, bacon and an English muffin for breakfast.

haha yes! i was fine with regular cream cheese prior to pregnancy, but now, only Philadelphia whipped cream cheese will do. i have had more bagels since being pregnant than ever before(had one for breakfast yesterday) and the more cream cheese the better!!!

DH made bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapenos on the grill this weekend - stuffed with cream cheese of course! Delicious!

lol. I've always preferred whipped cream cheese! the first tri of my pregnancy I couldn't eat bagels, and I was so sad because they are one of my favorites!
but..second tri i've been stuffing my face. I get one from honey dew every morning which is a terrible habit. i need to buy some for home!

I used to LOOOOVE bagels + cream cheese but I can't eat them now because of my gestational diabetes. My nutritionist said it's one of the worst foods to eat for GD mamas.

Definitely went through a week where I had to have bagels. and I always love whipped cream cheese with them. Goes on so much easier!

Yes!! So funny because i have had intense cravings for bagels and cream cheese during this pregnancy. I mean i usually enjoy them but i really really enjoy them nowadays! When i was feeling sick a few weeks ago it was one of the only foods i actually still wanted to eat.

I haven't craved one, except when I was pregnant with DD. DH & I had been out somewhere and got home late and got in bed and I turned to him and said, "I REALLY want a toasted bagel with strawberry cream cheese." Of course, we didn't have any in the house so he actually offered to go to the store for me. I didn't take him up on it and it went away.

Count me is as one of the pregnant ladies who couldn't get enough bagels and cream cheese! I did not realize that this was such a phenomenon. Strangely, I'm not much of a fan of the blueberry or raisin bagels normally, but during pregnancy I couldn't get enough!

Not with a bagel (I had GD so they were forbidden), but when I was pregnant, I LOVED cream cheese and sour cream, and I would come up with excuses to eat cream cheese and sour cream.

Same for me as TheFixIts! No morning sickness but could have eaten a bagel and cream cheese at every single meal...and more! I've always liked it, but it was like the. best. meal. ever.
