    @magnolia: congratulations!!

    So, I'm finally tentatively joining in here, although admittedly I'm scared to jinx it. But, I could really use the support from those that have been there.

    Your story: I had ds in. Feb 2013 with no problems, conceived on the first try. We got pregnant on the first try again in May of this year, only to find out a month later that I had a blighted ovum. I had a d&e, which then had two months of bleeding and all sorts of complications afterwards, until I finally passed retained tissue (that they insisted wasn't there). After several months of trying after that, I got my bfp last month. I'm 7 weeks along today.

    Due Date: July 31, 2015
    LO #: 2

    How are you coping with pregnancy after a loss: not really well. I'm basically constantly terrified. I did have an emergency ultrasound today because I was having weird sharp pains. Super fortunately, we saw the baby measuring 7 weeks, and a heartbeat of 126. Unfortunately, they also saw a subchorionic hemorrhage. I was happy and reassured for all of 5 minutes after hearing the hb, before hearing about the SH. Now I'm terrified again.

    Is your doctor recommending different care after a loss: I'm seeing maternal fetal medicine, which I saw with my son as well, for a genetic condition. So, basically the same care, although he's been very responsive and reassuring knowing what I went through with the mc.

    Something interesting about you: I have a dog, a morkie, who is more trouble than ds.

    @ValentineMommy: I'm glad you decided to join! I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious. I totally understand. I'm finally starting to feel just the "normal" level of worry at 13 weeks. But those early days are so hard (and some of them are hard now).

    I don't have any experience with SCH, but I know lots aren't a problem at all, right? So glad you saw the heartbeat!

    You're in my thoughts and prayers!

    @ValentineMommy: as a fellow January dropout I am so thrilled to see you here hooray for a great heartbeat today! I don't have any experience with SCH but I have read many stories from people on here who had SCH and otherwise normal pregnancies.

    @ValentineMommy: Congratulations! I know mrs.jumprope had an sch with her last, so you could probably ask her about it. She turned out fine!

    Also, we have two morkies and I can totally believe that they'll wind up being more trouble than a kid.

    Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I am SO SICK with this pregnancy, it's crazy. I still haven't thrown up, but this nausea is serious all day long. Blech.

    I'm hoping my appt with MFM can tell me more about the SCH and make me feel better about it and the chance of it healing. My doctor basically said it's fairly common, but if it's going to cause any problems, that there isn't really anything I can do to prevent it. he also told me to prepare for spotting (I haven't had any). I'm so scared. With my mc in June, there was never a heartbeat, so I know I would take a loss after a hb so much worse.

    @Torchwood: seriously, the dog is way worse than my son. And he took the arrival of ds really hard. I can only imagine how he will feel with two around

    Ladies, have you been more emotional this pregnancy? I thought I was doing okay...until I cried twice today, once because the end of my book was sad and once from sheer frustration.

    (Finally) Got my 2nd beta results today...it looks like my doubling is maybe a little slow (58 hours), but still okay. 1457 at 5 weeks 3 days. I'll have an ultrasound on Christmas Eve.

    @FliegepilzHut: Yay for good betas!
    I have actually been less emotional with this pregnancy than either DS's or my loss. Way more tired, but less emotional.

    @GoGoSnoGirl: I certainly hope so! It's the only day I can go without having to go straight to work afterward!

    @simplyfelicity: I'm just so nervous.... And emotions are SO close to the surface right now! How far along are you now? Grow, babies, grow! (ALL the babies!)

    @Jess1483: That's interesting. Hope you're getting lots of rest!

    Your story: Had a early loss/CP back in September, and got our BFP 2nd cycle after that--

    Due Date: 7/29/15

    LO #: 2 (DS is almost 25 months)

    How are you coping with pregnancy after a loss: So while the first few weeks were nerve wracking, I did okay. I just took it day by day. Chose not to get betas done because I couldn't deal with the anxiety of waiting and deciphering numbers, etc. I am 8 weeks tomorrow and we had our dating us last Friday and saw the bean (measuring a day ahead) and heartbeat. The only thing that's really bothering/worrying me is that while m/s started right at 6 weeks as I expected (same with DS) it's come in waves. Good days, then bad, but mostly in the last week good days. I mean I'm bloated, have sore boobs, and I have no appetite for anything in particular and have food aversions, but most of the time I can eat. And it's usually a lump in my throat more than MS or nausea. So of course, I think it's a bad sign and worry.

    Is your doctor recommending different care after a loss: He said I could come in for betas and etc, but I declined. We also didn't have a NT scan done with DS, but we are this time, so we can see the baby one more time and calm my nerves.

    Something interesting about you: I'm double jointed and don't have a middle name! Also I have a Korean first name and a Polish last name (DH's)...!

    So lovely to say that I'm pregnant and to be here for the support ladies

    @mrsjyw: Congratulations! Glad you can be here

    We had our NT screening last Wednesday, and results came back today--"within normal range" for everything. I almost asked for the risk numbers and then decided that was definitely not worth obsessing over. We are so thrilled!

    Hi ladies! An update with me! Went in for my first appt today and I'm measuring 7w6d with an EDD of 7/31/15! However the OB had a hard time taking a measurement because there was a shadow and the bean was very wiggly so he suspects I might even be a tiny bit further along. It was so reassuring seeing it and......I heard the heartbeat! I had no idea ultrasound machines could detect heartbeats for patients to hear that early!! I didn't hear LO #1's heartbeat that early!

    Anyway, I'm relieved and happy and going into the holidays with a happy heart. Totally looking forward to my next appointment in 2.5 weeks!

    Rhetorical question: what the heck was I just doing looking at m/c rates?!? The statistics are fairly reassuring (maybe 4% after seeing a heartbeat at 7weeks)...but then there are a bazillion other statistics based on my age, 2 prior m/c, etc... Again, what was I thinking????

  38. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

    @FliegepilzHut: So weird. I was JUST doing the EXACT same thing. We saw the heartbeat at 6 and 7 weeks (strong), and I have a doctors appt tomorrow. I'm TERRIFIED that something happened to the baby in the meantime. Terrified. I tried using my doppler the other day and couldn't find a heartbeat either, which of course, scares the bejesus out of me.
