I have had horrendous morning sickness since about six weeks. I've hardly been able to keep down anything and I've felt more miserable than I thought it was possible to feel. I'm 14 weeks now and finally starting to feel better.
Today, for the first time in my entire pregnancy, real food actually sounds good to me. And what is that I'm craving?
A cold turkey sandwich.
I don't want a panini. I don't want to heat up the meat. I want a nice, COLD, turkey deli meat sandwich with avocado and tomato.
I always thought I would be pretty liberal when it comes to following all the food rules and not make myself crazy with restrictions, but now that I'm faced with wanting something I'm technically not supposed to have, I'm surprised by how nervous I feel about doing something "bad."
I've read that as long as you eat it within a day of opening the package, you're fine, and that listeria is usually only caused when it's been sitting out.
So I'm curious, did you eat cold deli meat?
