My job is being moved across the country next year, so I have been trying to find a new job within the same company. I just got a call from a recruiter this morning and she is setting up an interview for me next week. I'll be 17 weeks pregnant. What is proper protocol? Do I tell the hiring manager that I am pregnant during the interview? Do I keep it to myself?

Are you planning to take some time off but go back to work shortly after you give birth? If so, I wouldn't mention it unless it came up in conversation. Good luck!

I wouldn't disclose it. Even though it's technically illegal for them to discriminate against you why give them that info? If you get an offer I would bring it up then in the context of negotiating your maternity leave, especially if you aren't eligible for FMLA.

My current boss is aware but I don't know if he has told his manager. I don't think my FMLA benefits will be effected by a new job but I will definitely check with HR if I get a job offer. I never even thought about that!

I did not tell. I figured it was nobody's business. I did say that I refused to be mommy tracked... Because I'm sassy like that!
