I'm planning a baby shower for a friend. What are all the cute baby shower themes you've seen recently? She's having a girl (but I don't need the whole thing to be pink) and is south American, groom is from California, they live in Texas if that matters.

@Anagram: I threw my friend a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower. It was a lot of fun, and I could DIY most of it.

I also saw this online, a 'you are my sunshine' theme that I think is absolutely adorable!
Mainly I would plan it around the momma to be. Ask her what she likes then go from there, planning a shower is a lot of work so I plan based on the momma/bride's request so I know for sure they like it.

I just threw a gender-neutral Cookies & Milk themed shower that I got a lot of positive feedback on. There were lots of helpful ideas on Pinterest!

I love the idea of a "Yellow Rose" party for a little girl to be born in Texas. I had a storybook-themed shower that was adorable. You could also do a particular book (stars/moon decor with Goodnight Moon, The Very Hungry Caterpillar; I once went to a Where the Wild Things Are shower for a little boy). If they like to travel, I've seen a "welcome to the world" theme that was done well. Other themes I've seen: rubber duck, circus, about to pop...

Went to a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star shower yesterday for a boy. It also happened to be the theme for my first baby shower.
I also saw a Baby-Que (BBQ shower) that looked super fun recently!

I had a friend go to a baby-que aka a baby shower BBQ which I thought was adorable. Although it doesn't really work for November.

I helped with a nautical/whale themed shower this past weekend! Dad to be is in the coast guard so nursery has the same theme.
