My best friend has one (she's 13ish weeks pregnant). Her doctor isn't concerned either, and just told her to be on pelvic rest until it resolves. I hope it resolves quickly for you! I'm sure it's stressful seeing the spotting (which I totally understand). Hugs!

Yes, I had one. I was told it did increase my chance of a miscarriage only because of where it was located. It stayed throughout my pregnancy, but never grew in size so my midwife wasn't particularly worried about it. The tech at my first ultrasound noted it but didn't say anything to us about it. My midwife mentioned it in passing a few weeks later. They definitely weren't worried enough to schedule extra scans later in the pregnancy. I did have a pretty massive pp hemorrhage, though, and they weren't sure but thought it was possibly related.

But obviously everything was fine, and I had a super healthy baby!

I do remember how bleak google made it sound, so as impossible as it is, I suggest closing the windows and trying to relax. I know several bees have had them, that both bled out and didn't, and I'm fairly certain that in all cases the baby was fine (though they may have been put on pelvic rest for a while).

@Mrs. Jump Rope: They're really common, from what I understand. I know my friend is on pelvic rest because of the size/location of hers... but even pelvic rest isn't a big deal (when I was on it I just couldn't lift heavy things or DTD). Try not to worry! Easier said than done, I know.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Ah, I didn't realize you were on it too. I had similar issues. I also used the progesterone suppositories for the first 12-14 weeks and they definitely irritated things. Maybe it's a combo of both issues? I know some people have SCH without spotting. Either way, I hope it goes away soon. I hated the worry that went along with the spotting.

SCH are fairly common. I had one, and bled in my early pregnancy. They just said not to DTD or any similar activity or heavy listing/straining for 6 weeks. It eventually went away in its own, although it took more than 6 weeks.

I had a huge SCH, heavy bleeding for six hours until it passed. Minimal bleeding after until my on put me on progesterone to prevent miscarriage. That was about 10-11 weeks. Totally fine healthy baby!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I'm doing good as long as I stick to my pelvic rest/no lifting requirements! We last checked in at 10 weeks and it was looking better. We go back at 12 weeks.

So interesting to hear these stories...I also have SCH and when I asked about the size and location, the doctor just said, somewhat brusquely: "It doesn't matter." And I was told I didn't need pelvic rest or anything...gosh, I can't wait to switch providers...

I also found out that I have SCH during my 7w ultrasound so they also had me see the doctor. She didn't seem concerned just told me to take it easy (no DTD, exercising, heavy lifting) and that they would check it out at my next visit.
