Wow, no one has joined yet?? Guess I'll get us started, even though I only just found out today. After a miscarriage and a CP, I'm trying to enjoy every moment that I am pregnant.
Location: Orange County, CA
EDD: Sept 10, 2016
How far along: Umm not even 4 weeks yet...
First child? Nope, this will be baby 2! They will have a 22 month age gap.
First doctor appointment: Haven't called yet, I'm waiting until AF is late.
Any symptoms so far? Extreme nausea... That's actually why I tested at 8dpo, I was wanting to rule out the stomach flu! Sure enough, squinter! It was much more obvious today and I got a positive on a digital as well.
Who have you told? Just my previous mommy group on facebook. My husband is down for the count right now with a man-cold, so I'm waiting until he feels better. I'll probably tell him on New Years that we will have a lot to celebrate in 2016!

@missybear: I might be joining you! Give me a few days for it to sink in first

@missybear: Found out on January 1 by taking a FRER. Great way to start the new year. TTC exactly 2 years. 2nd cycle Clomid. Had CP in December 2014. Very nervous about a repeat. Took a digital today on a 2 hour hold and it said Pregnant 1-2 weeks. So I guess I need to believe it's real.
Location: New Orleans, LA
EDD: Sept 10, 2016
How far along: 4w2d
First child? Yes.
First doctor appointment: alled but haven't heard back yet.
Any symptoms so far? A few pulls and twinges. Other than at I feel completely normal. Cue worries about it being another chemical.
Who have you told? My husband, mom and my cousin (who has a three-month old).

Cautiously joining, just got a BFP last night!
EDD September 9th!
How far along? 4w3d
First child: No, second! LO will be 3.5 when baby arrives.
First Doctor's Appointment: Haven't called yet
Any symptoms: Not really, I'm overly emotional, but LO is going through a lot right now so I don't know if it's related. Tired, but I have a toddler so not sure if that's related either
Who have you told: DH, of course! A few friends!

@mrsjd: thanks!
I called today and set up an appt for 2/5, I should get an ultrasound then! I'm so sad, my OB from LO moved I'll be seeing the OB that ended up delivering him, who I really liked too.

@mrsjd: health buddies sounds like a good idea! Have you been completely ravenous? I had a cup of oatmeal with hazelnuts, a banana, two string cheeses, and an apple and I'm counting down the minutes until 11 so I can devour my lunch (grilled ham and Gouda on honey wheat with lightly seasoned steamed veggies). I'm thinking I may need to venture to the cafe for an afternoon snack if I eat at 11, but omg I'm so so hungry!

@Applesandbananas: I haven't been really hungry in the mornings but I'm starving in the afternoons. I feel fine, it's not nausea I'm just not dying them Last night at dinner (chicken meatballs, rice and kimchi) my husband was like, WOAH, slow down lady. I'm going to have to mix in an afternoon snack.

@Applesandbananas: Also exciting on the appointment. I am scheduled for the first ultrasound at 7w3d on 1/26. NP said I should be able to see by then. I went yesterday and they confirmed the pregnancy and gave me some info. I chose not to do betas. I figure whatever happens will happen.

@mrsjd: that's exciting! I'm so jealous of your 7w ultrasound!! I'm trying to be very "what will be, will be" and failing. I can't wait until 2/5 to see my little bean!

First off, congrats ladies! @missybear: @mrsjd: @Applesandbananas: (and maybe@MrsKoala: ?)
I will hesitantly join you. About a thousand tests tell me I'm pregnant but I don't like the darkness of the FRER and I've had 2 CP's in the past so it just makes me really nervous.
Location: MA
EDD: No clue! Somewhere between Sept. 13 - Sept. 17. For now I'll just say 9/15
How far along: About 4 weeks?
First child? Nope, 3rd!
First doctor appointment: Haven't called yet. I have to switch providers because we moved and I didn't make it to the hospital in time with my second. I'll call next week.
Any symptoms so far? Gagging while brushing my teeth which is what told me to test.
Who have you told? Just DH. LO1 has seen the positive tests but has no idea what they mean

@skipra: Congrats and welcome! I get the CP fears, I have them too. But today you are pregnant!

@mrsjd: second! I have a little boy who is almost 3 (sob! His therapist told me he looks like a little boy now, as opposed to a toddler and I nearly bawled!) and he is the most incredible thing to ever happen to me. We were going back and forth on whether to have a second and had actually decided to not for now when we found out about #2, but I'm glad it worked out that way. I think he's going to be a wonderful big brother!

@skipra: thanks! sending positive thoughts your way, I hope this is your sticky take home baby
I have been obsessing over the darkness of wondfos and POASing daily and then googling pictures of darkening wondfos. I really keep telling myself what will be will be but I'm still scared.

Sooooo... I feel massive amounts of uncertainty and fear about this. I had a CP in August of this year. It freaked DH out about money and we weren't going to TTC again until the summer. I even ranted on the TTC after loss board about it. Then DH didn't pull out once (on purpose, mind you) while we were in the ovulation danger zone and here we are. I'm happy but I'm really apprehensive about another loss.
Location: New England
EDD: 9/10 (our anniversary is 9/7)
How far along: 4 weeks and some change.
First child? Nope, 2nd. LO turns 2 next month.
First doctor appointment: I haven't made it yet. Last time, I made the appointment and miscarried the next day sooo I'm nervous.
Any symptoms so far? Not really. Sore on the side of my boobs but it feels more like lymph node pain than anything else.
Who have you told? DH. I was scared that he wouldn't be happy about it but he's thrilled. My mom's group from LO1.
Now, I'm just really nervous that things won't work out but I guess that fate is already decided whether I like it or not.

@Applesandbananas: So sweet! That's exciting! I can't imagine how bittersweet it must be to see him getting older.
@MrsKoala: Congrats and welcome! Dang, all it takes is once. I'm jealous - it took us two year and a plethora of fertility drugs. This is a CP-fear board, so you're in good company. It's tough! I'm trying to focus on each milestone as it comes - e.g., 5 weeks, 6 weeks, first ultrasound, etc.

Well I guess it is a relief that I am not the only one worried about CP but I'm sorry that you ladies are too. You would think after having 2 healthy kids the fear would not be as bad. @MrsKoala: I also had a CP in August after 1 whoopsie when we were actually trying to prevent. I had a really strong line on the FRER and then AF 2 days later. But yes there is nothing we can do except hope for the best!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@mrsjd: @skipra: Yeah, I think the only reason I joined this early was because a lot of you have gone through it, too. So there's a lot of support here for the mind eff that a previous loss creates.

@Applesandbananas: We'll probably start trying in April and have a similar age gap to yours.
pomegranate / 3845 posts
@avivoca: that's exciting! I'm glad it'll be a 3.5 gap, I don't think I could handle anything less. LO is starting to get more independent and he's potty trained (mostly lol) and things are just so much easier than even 6 months ago.

@MrsKoala: @skipra: @mrsjd: how are you guys thinking of handling announcing and things like that? I'm so nervous to even get attached, but I'm also cautiously excited about announcing. I've been looking at announcement shirts for LO but I feel like I'm going to jinx things. I'm planning to wait until after the ultrasound.
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Applesandbananas: I'm not the person to ask! I never announced really with the first one. I told everyone I know in person or on the phone and then I just posted a picture of my baby shower. I won't announce with this one either. I'll just kind of let my bump do the talking if we get that far.
pomegranate / 3350 posts
@Applesandbananas: I wasn't very big on announcing either. With my first we told my mom right away because my step dad had just passed and my cycle was really off and I ovulated on his birthday so I really thought it was a sign from him. We told the rest of the family after my first u/s at 10 weeks and then friends around 13 and FB announcement I'd say 20-something weeks. With my second we told more people right away because we needed some advice about when to sell our condo and we had to talk to the other condo owners. We were really bad about an official announcement which hurt some family member's feelings because they didn't find out until he was born! Oops. No idea what we might do this time. Maybe a picture with both boys in big brother shirts?
pomegranate / 3845 posts
@MrsKoala: @skipra: we just did cute gifts for my parents and his parents and then a Facebook status around 18w. I'm thinking a Valentine's Day announcement for my parents and his parents if we have a good ultrasound.

@MrsKoala: yay congrats! I'm outing myself lately as a due date board stalker

@Mrs. Champagne: hahaha, thanks, i totally do it, too. No shame in the due date board stalking!
clementine / 777 posts
@Applesandbananas: I told my mom and my cousin (who has an infant) a few days after we found out. With the CP, I didn't get to tell until I lost it and so I wanted to share the good news as well as the bad this time.
As far as everyone else, because we live out of town from most family, we'll wait either we see people in person or until we feel like the ultrasounds show us enough that the miscarriage risk is low enough to warrant it. I don't want to have to share a loss with more than just close close family.
I don't plan to share on social media at all. I'm really anxious and protective of this pregnancy given our infertility struggles. I want to tell the people I care about individually and don't really want other people to know. I might change my mind, but I can't see it happening.

@MrsKoala: Ah!! Congrats! I'm so excited for you! I'm crossing my fingers really hard that this is our month and hopefully be joining you as a due date twin AGAIN!

Cross posting here... Anyone crazy weepy? We had a preschool tour for LO today and I cried 3x. It's not a typical preschool, he has to qualify and we've been so aggressive with his therapy, he may actually not qualify, but his therapy has been through EI, so when he turns 3, all that will go away so I'm desperately hoping he gets in because it's an amaaaaazing school and I know he will thrive!
