@Banana330: Overall I'd say I feel pretty good lately. I still have random waves of nausea and I'm still on the diclegis but more than not I feel okay. My weirdest thing lately is when I'm walking longer distances (esp if I'm trying to walk fast)I'm getting what feels like a cramp or muscle pull in my lower right abdomen. It feels kind of like when you get a stitch while running, except almost on my hip. SO WEIRD. I'm assuming its something to do with my round ligament bc it feels muscular and hurts ONLY while i'm walking. I"m so glad I have a job that I mostly just sit! But the walk 2 and from the garage every day kinda sucks.

@Banana330: I sprained my ankle this weekend 😣. Didn't fall at least. That's actually gotten much better, but as a result of my shuffling gait from that I threw out my back. Really really missing Advil right now!

My anatomy and gender scan is Thursday and it can't come fast enough. My husband and I do not care what we have (honestly) boy or girl, but family, friends and strangers have been so pushy that we must want a boy or we will be disappointed since we already have a girl. And about not carrying on the family name, etc. This is our last and we will be happy as long as the baby and I are both healthy throughout.

I'm ready to start planning names and figuring out what we need to buy. I hope the next few days go fast.

@Mae: I had a lot of hip/lower back pain last pregnancy it sucks.

@StrawberryBee: oh no! I hope you're resting and recovering.

@babybunnylove: Eek one more day! Finding out for me really helps me connect to the pregnancy and imagine whats in there!

I've had to give up coffee due to stomach issues. TMI, but it now means I am terribly constipated. What can I do for that? I already eat Lara bars (dried fruit bars) and drink lots of water. I'm stuck! Pregnancy is oh-so-glamorous.

i need to get better at logging in here! congratulations to everyone finding out the gender! That is so exciting. I can't believe we are that far along.

Question, has anyone ever experience rib pain? On their side? My right side by my ribs is killing me. It can be a sharp pain, or just subside. It comes and goes. I've read it's normal but I'm curious what other mommas have done to cope.

@Bibliolove: Magnesium can help, as can stool softeners. I take a daily calcium magnesium and it definitely helps.

@Banana330: @Bibliolove: Thanks! I made it into work today, at least.

House closing is next Monday, eeek! DH is taking off two days from work to hopefully get some painting done. Can't wait to set up E's big girl room, and the nursery!

Feeling pretty good here! Just tired and sore by the end of the day, but glad to be at the halfway point! Starting to buy some furniture for dd to transition her into her big girl room. Makes it all feel more real that this baby is coming in a new months!

@babybunnylove: Good luck with your scan this week!! I'm sure the days will go fast until then!

@Banana330: Overall I've been feeling great. I love laying down at night and feeling baby through my belly. I can feel small movements during the day when I'm just relaxing too. DH hasn't felt anything yet and that makes him sad. When he presses my belly he can usually find where baby is, but he says it just feels like a big lump. I can usually find a limb or two
I nanny twin toddlers and we started potty training this week. So that's kicking my butt!! I guess I'll take it as practice for my own

Most of my discomfort is purely superficial. I've gained 25lbs, and for a 5'0" lady who was fit before, it's been frustrating. The increase in cellulite is crazy too!! I know it's all worth it, but I just wish I'd have a guarantee I will feel like myself again once baby is born. Seeing my body change so drastically is absolutely amazing and challenging at the same time. I'm just hungry ALL. THE. TIME.

@Mae: that definitely sounds like round ligament pain. Mine was pretty bad in the second tri with my first LO.

@Mademoiselle3: I also had this pain with my first 😂 I had lots of stretching pains! If it's the same area you're describing I thought it was my gall bladder! My doctor said that as the baby gets bigger your ribcage expands to make room and throughout pregnancy your organs end up shifting as your baby/uterus gets bigger. If the pain is severe I'd call your dr.

As for me I'm feeling pretty great right now! I'm tying to enjoy this sweet spot of not feeling sick, but also not feeling so big and achey. I'm a teacher and we are in the home stretch, but I am so done and ready for summer! Also my husband traveled for work and is gone this week. Solo parenting is tiring! 😂

My next appointment is just a regular checkup on May 31.

@annem1990: i can't believe you're watching twins while pregnant! you must be exhausted!

@Boopers: another person who works on their feet! I have so much admiration for you ladies who do this. I ride a desk, and I had 1 day a week or two ago where I had to be on my feet 7 hours doing stuff and I was deaaad. No idea how you people do this on a regular basis lol.

Little miss is getting so active! I feel like she'd trying to bust through my belly button today haha.

Just wanted to pop in to share that we had our ultrasound yesterday and baby is a boy! We are excited and grateful for a healthy pregnancy and I can't wait to finally start shopping for things now that we know gender! Going to share the news with family this weekend with a surprise gender reveal cake glad to hear everyone is having healthy pregnancies so far!

@Mamag511: aww, I love decorating rooms! Is DD excited for her big girl room?

@annem1990: I'm with @Mae: , that sounds absolutely exhausting. We had some potty training backpedaling these past few weeks, so I just bribed my kid this morning that she could watch the iPad in the car if she used the big toilet. #parentingfailorwin? XD

@Mrs. K: congrats on your boy!!!

@Mrs. K: Congrats on your boy!! So exciting

@StrawberryBee: I love decorating too! I don't think she gets it - I just started buying some furniture, so I'll start to talk it up more soon and hope I can get her caught up in the excitement!!

@Mamag511: sometimes character bedding is what makes the win ;). I don't like the look of it, so I got her a regular colorful comforter from targets pillow fort line, and some paw patrol sheets.

We had our anatomy scan this morning. It went very well. Baby was VERY active! We were so overwhelmingly happy to see it moving around and matching up the feeling of movements with seeing them on the screen. The technician and doctor said that everything they check for in the ultrasound is growing and exactly how it should be. That make me feel so relieved. I just pray that it continues to grow healthy! Also, we found out it's a BOY!! And oh boy did he show us that he's definitely a boy! I'm so excited to start this new chapter. I've only been a mom to girls, so this is a new experience for me! I'm so over the moon! We're sharing the news with everyone starting tomorrow so I'm very glad to be able to share it with someone today!

@Banana330: My anatomy scan got moved to Monday! Pretty excited. I've gotten huge lately and felt a ton of movement so I wonder if they'll date it and change the date to a September DD.

I had a lot of catching up to do in this thread! Congrats everyone on the ultrasounds!

I shattered my phone screen last week and was unable to read or text on the lower 2/3's of the screen. New phone arrived today.

I redid my anatomy scan and they took forever and almost needed me to go back for a third but they luckily were able to get all the images they needed.

I'm struggling. I had a nap on Sunday afternoon and it messed with my night sleep so much I feel horrible this morning. I'm not sure if it's because of the tiredness or what but I was throwing up again this morning too.

@Banana330: I'm sorry you aren't feeling well! Hope it passes soon!

    @matador84: Good luck today!

Have any of the 2+ mamas either have or started researching double strollers yet? I feel so overwhelmed with the options!

  34. Banana330

    nectarine / 2317 posts

@Mamag511: DH wants to wait and see if we really need one. I'm planning to baby wear a lot for the first while and maybe get a ride on board for our cruz. If I was going to get a double I'm leaning towards the mountain buggy duet (2017) version. But I think we'd only really need if for a year or so, so it's a lot of money for that.

@Mamag511: we've also decided to wait and see if we need one. I plan to babywear the baby and have the toddler walk or in the stroller.

Everything went great at the anatomy scan. Nothing to report other than everything looked great and normal! I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday where he will let me know if he saw anything on our scans, but I don't think we will have any news.

It has been so fun so far not finding out the gender!! I'll have another scan around 30-32 weeks and when I made it to 40 weeks with my first I think I had one at 38 also.

  37. Mae

    papaya / 10343 posts

@Mamag511: We are also skipping the double stroller. LO1 will be 3.5 with LO2 is born. I wore her pretty much exclusively for about a year (we never even bought a stroller until she was 1! lol) and plan to do the same with LO2. I think by 4.5 when we might want a stroller for her, LO1 will be too big for it anyways!

Hello ladies, is it alright if I join in quite late?

    Location: RI

    EDD: 9/2

First child? Nope number 4! DD will be 5 at the end of June, DS1 just turned 3 and DS2 is 17 months.

Symptoms? Thankfully another easy pregnancy thus far.

We have told all the people we come in contact with I believe. I am happy to have reached viability! I've been reading along but didn't want to commit for whatever reason until now. Oh and my last two have come a wee bit early (38 + 39 weeks) so it could be an August baby...though he/she will now be late because I wrote that lol.
