First child? 2nd
Any symptoms? Slight twinges every once in a while, but nothing real yet!
Who have you told? DH and one friend
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? I had a loss in early November. My cycle normalized quickly, we BDd at the right time, so here we go again! Much more nervous this time, but it feels right in a way the last one didn't, so I hope intuition counts for something. I had hcg draws on Friday and Monday, and just got the results back today: went from 200 to 629! I think those were around 15 and 18 dpo. They're monitoring me more closely this time, so my first ultrasound is on Jan 27th.

So happy to be here!

EDD: Sept. 13
First child? Second
Any symptoms? Some nausea, and cramps. Nothing too crazy, but the nausea is definitely earlier this time than my last pregnancy, which makes me nervous!
Who have you told? My husband, of course, and a couple close friends.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? Just general nervousness that this little one sticks around!! And also nervous about adding a second kiddo.

@StrawberryBee: congratulations!! How old is your little one?
I have my first ultrasound scheduled for the 27 too; I'm a little nervous since it seems so early.

@theotherstark: congrats to you too! Stark as in got?
She's 3 (born August 2013). She told the teachers at daycare today that I went to work without underwear on (untrue) How old is yours?
If I could I'd be tested every day, just for the peace of mind! I had to wait until the nt scan last time, which was just endless. Do you plan to find out gender?

@avivoca: thanks! I know, doesn't it seem like time moves so quickly?

First child? No, 2nd
Any symptoms? Not too much yet, light afternoon nausea and I'm tired.
Who have you told? DH and a few friends that knew we were trying will hold out until 2nd trip for everyone else including family.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? MMC is my biggest fear right now. I remember being super sick with DD so not having many symptoms so far is making me nervous. First ultrasound will be next thurs, so holding my breath until then.

First child? #3!
Any symptoms? So.very.tired and I feel pretty average in the mornings.
Who have you told? Just DH but my wine-loving in laws are arriving to stay with us at the end of this week...
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? I feel more nervous about this one than I did with the first two and I'm still feeling slightly freaked out at the logistics of having a third!

@StrawberryBee: Yep! love the books and the show My son is 2!
That's true, it's always nice having the extra reassurance of the ultrasound. We will be finding out the sex! How about you??

@Banana330: congrats!! Exciting your first u/s is next week already!!
nectarine / 2530 posts
@Banana330: welcome! Nice that next week you'll be getting an ultrasound and some confirmation.
@Kemma: welcome and congrats! I can't speak to three, but I know things will work out . Thank goodness we get 8 months to process and prepare.
@theotherstark: I read a couple of the books many, many years ago, and now I just don't have time to read, so I watch the show. I watched the red wedding while pregnant with my first .
We will definitely be finding out gender! I'm feeling girl again. If all goes as planned, E will be 4 when we have this baby. Only one year of double daycare before she goes into kindergarten. Maybe by then the school districts here will switch to all day (I can dream).

@StrawberryBee: No problem... we'll find out the gender too.. i'm feeling boy this time... not sure why, maybe cause my symptoms haven't really kicked in yet. I did gag a little while brushing my teeth this morning.

I did my last weeks estimator today and thankfully got 3+. I got 2-3 weeks last week when I tested, so I feel a bit better that things are progressing. I'm seeing my family doc today as a pregnancy visit. I had just started the testing process with a fertility clinic so they are following me until 12 weeks but my family doc needs to refer me to an OB or midwife.
nectarine / 2530 posts
@Banana330: Glad to hear that the week estimator test is showing progression! Are you getting blood tests to monitor your HCG levels with the fertility clinic?
still no real symptoms here. I'm just enjoying it and eating #allthethings, because I figure once week 6 hits (5 weeks 1 day today) if everything goes well I'll start feeling like crap.
nectarine / 2317 posts
@StrawberryBee: They did two betas at the beginning (doubling every 24 hrs!) but not since them. They are doing the ultrasound next week. I can't believe we got knocked up on the testing cycle. We had no issues getting pregnant with DD (some issues staying pregnant), so ttc #2 was a bit frustrating. I feel you on no symptoms, i'm a little more tired occasionally nauseous but really feel ok, i'm 6 weeks tomorrow so we'll see...

Any symptoms? some nausea when I get hungry, waking up at night, superhuman sense of smell
Who have you told? Just DH
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? Just that this little one sticks around. I had betas Tues (15 dpo) and today, and hcg increased from 114 to 217. I'll have another draw on Sat. I also just scheduled my first ultrasound for Feb 2. They wanted to do it a week earlier based on my LMP, but I know I didn't ovulate until cd 19. 2 weeks from now would only be 6.5 weeks, and I was worried about the potential limbo of not seeing a HB and not knowing whether it was non-viable or just too early. Hopefully I don't kick myself in a couple of weeks for delaying it

@periwinklebee: Yay! for the doubling! You should see a heartbeat (maybe not hear it) i'll only be 6w6d at my first ultrasound...

@Banana330: Yay for 3+!!! Can't wait for your scan next week.
I had my first pregnant lady moment last night - was in an uber and the car wreaked of pot. My DH was there and didn't smell anything Lol, the things I don't want to know - my sense of smell has been insane.
I woke up this morning feeling nauseated, eating makes it much better but seems to come back when I'm hungry. And my hcg is only 217. I would be worried that the nausea is going to get really bad, but at this point all my worrying bandwidth has been taken up by worrying about viability.
nectarine / 2317 posts
@periwinklebee: oh ya.. it hasn't been that bad this time.. but last time it was insane. I remember going for a walk with DH and smelling dog poo.. it was half a block away and I could smell it. Lots of little snacks help a ton... I just want all the carbs!
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Banana330: Hah, you inspired me to call back and take the appointment they originally wanted me to take on Jan 27th, since that's about what I'll be then. Plus, the Jan appt was early in the morning - rather than the middle of day - so I won't have to take off work and hopefully my husband can come. If they don't see a heartbeat, at least I'll know that it could be b/c I o'd late. The 27th is going to be a big day for this board!
I need to find some good snacks, I'm not usually a grazer but I think it will definitely be necessary.

@StrawberryBee: Not sure whether we'll find out the gender. My guess is that DH will want to, so we probably will...I have zero intuition
nectarine / 2530 posts
@Banana330: I think it's really neat that you got on the testing cycle. As if your body was like, oh, did you really mean business? Well, ok then...
@periwinklebee: welcome, and glad to have you join us on Jan 27th! I had super human smell with my last pregnancy. We had just hired a new guy who wore cologne, and he nearly killed me when he walked by with the stench.
I just keep on envisioning my daughter playing with her little sister. But honestly, body, just get me to September safely and I'll take what you give me, and happily!

@StrawberryBee: I feel the same way, I'd love a sister for DD, but I have a feeling this one is a boy.

Any symptoms? A ton! By 10 DPO I had convinced and unconvinced myself a million times that I was pregnant. I just knew I was pregnant this time as opposed to my first where I was clueless!
Who have you told? DH and my best friend
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? So I haven't officially even missed by period, but my tests are progressing. I'm just trying to stay hopeful yet cautious! Also, I teach first grade and I.am.exhausted!!!

Current thoughts/feelings/fears: I wish I felt more excited! This is all I have wanted for a while now but I'm afraid to get my hopes up if the little guy doesn't stick.
