I had my 32 week appt today and my doctor ordered an ultrasound in two weeks to assess growth. My fundal height measurement was on target, he said, but given the fact that blood pressure has been an issue, he thinks it'd be a good precaution to do an extra ultrasound just to make sure he's growing well.

I've had high blood pressure since 18 weeks and it's been very well controlled with a small dose of blood pressure meds and he said he's very happy with the way my blood pressure looks and reiterated that it's just a precaution and he expects everything will show he's growing normally.

I'm still flippin out.

I didn't think to ask at the appt stuff like what happens if he isn't growing appropriately? Will they induce labor and get him out? What then? How long would he be in NICU?

I'm scared, even though he said its just a precaution and that he doesn't suspect anything is amiss.
