mine was right, but until it was re-confirmed at 33 weeks, I didn't fully believe it

Mine was right but I asked if she was still a girl after she was born!

Mine was correct, but I was always worried in the back of my mind that they got it wrong! Such a huge relief when they told me she's a girl

Mine was right but I would have been happy no matter what

I was terrified of that. I studied LO's picture daily and looked at her little who ha. We bought so much pink!

I was afraid it would be but it wasn't! That's one of the first things I looked for when they put her on my belly, lol.

Mine has been accurate so far- and I've had 10+ ultrasounds so far, so I don't think it's going to change!

My mom was told I was going to be a boy, but when I came out -hey! I'm a girl!!!! Maybe that attributes to my tomboy-ness. ha!

I wonder if it's more common for it to be wrong when they say it's a girl and it's actually a boy? Because the ultrasounds we've had have a pretty clear extra appendage down there!

@ladyfingers: I agree with this. Especially on the early ultrasounds, I would not put a lot of stock on guessing that it's a girl.
We're team green so we'll be surprised either way : ) I don't know anyone in real life who has had their 20 week ultrasound be wrong.

I'm so scared of a wrong ultrasound... it's like the biggest argument for team green.

@ladyfingers: I asked at mine, after she told us it was a girl (!!!), because the ultrasound tech told us she had checked three times before she told us. She assured me that it's not just the absence of extra appendages; there is actual girl-anatomy ("three lines") that they see on the scan...and then she showed us the girl parts up close. So I think while a girl result from an ultrasound may in the past have been simply absence of boy-parts, now they do have positive identification of girliness! Stay tuned until February to make sure they were right

It was correct! We had 3 ultrasounds after the anatomy scan, so they had plenty of chances to correct an error, but she was a girl all along.
The first thing my OB said after DD was born: "Were we right? Is it a girl" and one of the nurses nodded. By that point, LO was already on my chest snuggling, but my OB was concentrating on the placenta and missed sneaking a peek.

I'm scared ours will be wrong! It's definitely more common to misread as a girl than to misread as a boy--I have a co-worker who this happened to and it almost scared me into team green. But I had 2 ultrasounds (2 different techs) and both said girl, so I'm hoping it's accurate!

My cousins were told they were having a girl and had a boy (on April Fool's Day)
