I'm so exicited!! We have just booked our babymoon! We're going to Egypt (Sharm el-Sheikh, not the bit with the pyramids) for 7 days in three and a half weeks!! Three and a half weeks people!!! I will be 22 weeks when we fly out (and 23 weeks when we fly back!).
Did you have a babymoon? Where did you go?
Care to share any travelling-while-pregnant tips?

I would just drink a lot of water and walk around while you're in flight!

@Cherrybee: it's Lanzarote, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Palma. Have you been there before? Egypt (Sharm) is on my list too, so you'll have to let me know what it's like

I'm having a belated honeymoon/now babymoon in April. We're going to the Dominican Republic and I'll be....25 1/2 weeks or almost 6 1/2 months.
I plan on relaxing on the beach/poolside with tropical fruit juices and lots of good books with the hubs. Oh, and eating---ToNS. 
Egypt sounds amazing, but I think DH would die if we went that far (from the US, not for you). As it is, he made me call my insurance to ask what happens if I need medical care in another country (turns out it's covered, just with more hassle), he made me look up the nearest hospital to our resort, and he asked TWO different doctors if it's okay. They both said it's fine. He's so cute.

Yeah, I've been to Gran Canaria - it was lovely! When are you going? It's pretty much warm all year round!
@Anagram: Wow, I'd love to go to the Dominican Republic! We went to Mexico a couple of years ago - that was as close to the Caribbean as I've ever got! Now that was far from where we are!!!

@Cherrybee: we're going at the beginning of May. I actually quite fancied the Maldives or a safari as we love our travel time and I can't see us going anytime soon after baby comes, but I decided against a long haul flight or being anywhere without great medical facilities.

@illumina: Aaaaaaaaahh, the Maldives! My absolute dream holiday destination! We just couldn't afford anywhere like that right now - sob sob!! So I may have to wait until retirement to go there!!!

I'm trying to see if the hubby will go to San Francisco for our babymoon. Nothing exotic but we both love food, and he's never been! I'm aiming for the last week of April so I'll be 25 weeks. Guess we'll see...

@illumina: I love snorkeling!! I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do as much of it as I did in Mexico though - I kept grounding myself on the rocks then, and that was without the huge belly!!

It's a 5.5hr flight to Egypt from here. That seems a long way to me - but it's less than it would take you to fly from the East to West Coast of your own country isn't it?!!!! I'd LOVE to to the the States. There's so many amazing places there I'd love to see.....

We had a trip scheduled, then found out we were pregnant. So our trip ended up being our Babymoon at 10 weeks. Only tip is to soak up all the time with your husband as you can.
