My two favorite compliments/ observations are "you look great!" and "you're all belly!"
What do you hear that makes your day?

Definitely agree with those two! I also like when I'm encouraged to eat something because I'm growing a person!

You look great!
That's about it. Even then by the end I didn't really believe it but it was nice of people to say anyway.

I really want to contribute something positive but I cringe at any comments made about me or my growing body during pregnancy. I gain so much weight and find it hard to adjust to my new large body! Womp womp

I like to hear "You look great!" or "You're glowing!"
I also second @mrsrain in that I definitely don't mind being told to eat more

I essentially hated everyone's comments because they were endless. Like I was only the pregnant person ever to grace the face of the earth. The ONLY comment/question that didnt annoy me was "are you excited?" That one was ok. Haha.

@wrkbrk: Really?! That one is my biggest bugbear! I hate it when people ask me that!

I love hearing that I'm glowing or look great. I also agree with @mrsrain: and appreciate it when someone offers me a treat or tells me to eat more
I also love it if someone I'm on a first name basis with comes up and asks me if I want a belly rub- it feels so good!

Congratulations! That's it. I try to remember to say it to any pregnant woman, no matter how far along she is.

"Do you want a back rub" .... specifically from my husband.
Other than that, I really just want to hear "congratulations" or about how wonderful I look (in other words, lies).

@Cherrybee: Haha yeah I guess bc it couldn't be interpreted any negative way!

Every single person we've told has immediately commented on what great parents we will be or how I will be such a great mom.
I've also been told that I have the cutest belly bump.

When people said I was one of the most beautiful pregnant people they'd seen, it made me feel good, or if they said I carry pregnancy well, I looked great, you're so beautiful, etc. haha.
The comment I hated the most was "are you sure it's not twins".

@ModernDayJibarita: yeah I love the great mom comments. I'm always thinking "do you really know me?" LOL
@youboots: ahh I miss the guesses! So fun, right?
@MrsRoo: me too! I didn't think I would like them but belly rubs are awesome. Having a legit bump helps.
@Autumnmama79: aww every so often like just 20 minutes ago someone will comment about my enlarged chest. It's always women, but my gosh if they notice the men must as well!

You look like a Victoria's Secret model! Where are you hiding that baby? You don't even have cankles!
Just kidding. No one's ever said that to me. Ever.
I mostly just got "Are you sure it's not twins?" and "Look at the size of your feet!:

Best things I heard during pregnancy:
-It's a girl
-You can have my seat
-There's a new carton of ice cream in the freezer
-Here's our HBO Go login, use it as much as you want during maternity leave
-Having kids is so much fun.

(I got irritated about any and all comments on my body, even though they were 100% complimentary and centered on how little weight I had gained. I didn't appreciate the implication that people were focusing on my weight at all. What if I had gained a lot? Not your business!)

I just loved hearing that I looked cute. Whether it was belly or outfit or whatever. It made me feel good!

In the beginning I like being complimented on my bump, which appeared early, at around 11 weeks. Then, after 30 weeks of hearing the same comments... Not so much!
The comment I never got tired of, and foumd so encouraging, were people who sincerely congratulated us and told us that they were happy for us. A fair amount of people knew of our loss and fertility issues, and I knew they cared and supported us.
Similarly, I loved it when anyone said positive things about being a parent and having kids.

I LOVED when people were positive about it ... so many people are like, "Hope you enjoy your sleep now, etc." ... but there were rare occasions when people would be like, "You guys are going to fall so in love with this little person!", etc. I loved hearing things like that.
Also, when I started showing, I loved when people asked me about the baby.

I liked to hear comments on things I was doing (taking the stairs, sitting on the floor, doing yoga with my students). I felt quite good throughout my pregnancy, but it was nice to hear the acknowledgement that my body had changed significantly, and I was handling it well.
Several of my coworkers would exclaim, "I'm so excited for you!" when they saw me in the hallway, and another always said, "hello, baby!" That was fun.

My kittens purring. (We got them during my pregnancy.)
I wasn't so into other people when I was pregnant.

I liked hearing that I was all belly in my first pregnancy. But it deluded me because it was so not true as evidenced by the fact that I never again fit into my pre-pregnant jeans.
This time I loved hearing about how great it will be for my kids to be each other's brother. And when people ask about my son's reaction to my pregnancy because i love to share all the funny and cute things he says about it.

I'm a sucker for compliments (and just decided to believe them, haha) so I loved when people said I didn't look pregnant, or they didn't realize I was pregnant.
