Do you and your SO have any nicknames for your unborn LO? DH and I refer to ours as Ziggy--as in, ziggy the zygote, lol. Even though I don't think it's a zygote anymore, but it stuck.
What about you?

We called ours "eggi" (baby in korean).. we still call her eggi, and she's 11 months old!

We refer to baby as Baby Sister for my son who is 1 yr old. He kisses my belly when I say "kiss Baby Sister"...

Lol! I called mine "ziggy" all throughout the first trimester! Now, my friends have taken to calling him Baby T.

I call him buddy (or bud) when talking to him. DH refers to him as "the kiddo."

We're calling ours Roo until we find out what the gender is and decide on a name.

We have a pig toy that we named Ziggy for LO.
We never had a nickname. Once we found out she was a girl, we called her by name.

My OB refers to them as Baby A and Baby B, so we call them Little A and Little B. Coincidentally, the names we picked out for them both have strong "A" and "Bee" sounds to them.

Before we found out the sex we called her Peanut. Now we call her Viv (short for Vivian). = )

We call her Lemon, for the lemon twist in a gin martini. We also call her the Tiny Tyrant when I feel like ca-ca from pregnancy (so basically, that was her name for the whole first trimester!).

We started with Tater Tot as well, and shortened it to Tater, and also Stiggy or The Stig after the driver from top gear. Wiki-description below... it fits 'cause we're Team Green
"...character in the British motoring television show Top Gear. The character plays on the anonymity of racing drivers' full-face helmets, with the running joke that nobody knows who, or indeed what, is inside the character's racing suit"

We called him "seahorse" because he looked like a seahorse on his first scan. When he got bigger, I called him "Francis/Frances" because it's a name that sounds both male and female (we were team green).
I have a seahorse charm for my bracelet, makes me smile.
Prettylizy...love Top Gear. I watch it every week!

@anbanan15: we are so original, we call her the baby, too!
GOLD / papaya / 10206 posts
@looch: No one gets the Stig reference, they just think DH and I are crazy! LOVE Top Gear!

When my husband is talking to him (he puts his head really close to my belly and tells him how much he loves him) he calls him by his name. I call him little guy or baby usually. Sometimes, when he kicks somewhere that hurts, I call him a little turd

@hilsy85: I didn't know you were pregnant. Congrats!
We've called ours Babu since very early on. More recently we call her "Wiggles", now that I feel her kick and wriggle around all the time. She also has a real name, but I don't like using it too often. I want to wait until she's actually born for that...

Gummybear. I used to tease DH while we were dating by calling him Bear because he's so hairy. The name stuck, and I still call him Bear as a nickname. When we found out we were pregnant, he started calling the baby Gummybear because it's like a little Bear.

@prettylizy: How funny! My mum thinks we should go with the name Tate We're also Team Green so Tot it shall be until he/she arrives!
P.S. I've never seen Top Gear but cute reference! We went with Tater Tot since my DH likes them lol.

@mediagirl: I know right?! For some reason it just seems so fitting lol. He's 10 months and we still call him the baby

We're boring and usually just call them 'babies'. Now that we know the genders, we're getting more used to calling them their actual names, but I sometimes feel more affectionate calling them 'baby boy' and 'baby girl'. Funny thing is that baby A actually has the name starting with the letter B
grapefruit / 4056 posts
@hilsy85: I also call ours Ziggy (as in Ziggy the Zygote) LOL - you are the first other person I have heard use that name. I also use the names "Kickypants" and "Piggly Wiggly" lately.

We're naming him Cooper, so we've been calling him mini Cooper. My husband also calls him tater tot.

@skibobrown: Thanks! I'm about 5 1/2 weeks and so far so good...
@MsMini: hah great minds think alike obviously

We call her Poppy. At one point she was supposedly the size of a poppyseed, my husband just started calling her Poppy (even though at that time we didn't know the sex). We're pretty sure on a name now, but we still call her Poppy. Or sometimes I call her Baby Girl.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
I call her either Bebe or whatever fruit The Bump tells me it is that week. So last week I called her my "little orange", and this week she's "my avocado". DH (jokingly) calls her "the parasite".
(We're Team Green, I just dislike calling the baby "it" and "she/her" sounds more natural to me.)
kiwi / 540 posts
Everyone has such cute names! We call it the "baby" in reference to the future, but in the mean time, we do call it what it is...a fetus! I'm embarrassed to admit that! >_<
pomegranate / 3604 posts
i call it a parasite or an asshole. Yes, Mother of the Year over here.
I'm sure once we know the sex we'll start referring to it by name.

We already know the gender of our baby. So we call him by his name - Logan or sometimes I will just call him baby.

@hilsy85: how are you feeling?? I think we are the exact same day along! I've had only one tiny bout of queasiness after skipping lunch one day.
We call it the baguette in the oven instead of the bun because he/she was conceived in Paris

@Tidybee: I'm good! So far, nothing much to report, except that my boobies hurt really bad,ly, and they have gotten bigger over the last 2-3 days (DH is thrilled). Other than that, i haven't been having much cramping recently. I MAY have had my first food aversion--I made myself hummus and avocado on wheat bread for lunch, and I only made it through half the sandwich before getting grossed out by the taste of those two things. How about you??

We used to call her lil muchkin, but nowadays I call her lil baby. DH calls her by her name =)
